Alvin Bragg is now trying to convince 12 jurors to throw Donald Trump in jail based on a novel legal theory that he made up.

Even Trump haters know this case is a farce.

And Geraldo Rivera drove this giant stake through the heart of Alvin Bragg’s case.

Bragg’s case is a sham

Then-Fox News host Geraldo Rivera turned against former President Donald Trump following the 2020 Election.

January 6 was a breaking point for him and Rivera – who was a longtime friend of Trump – can’t support his Presidential bid.

But even he is not so lost in anti-Trumpism that can’t recognize a perversion of the legal system when he sees one.

Rivera ripped Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case saying the rationale behind it was nonsense as he bent the meaning of New York’s falsification of business records statute to settle a political score.

“By paying hush money to Stormy Daniels & attempting to hide it, Donald Trump is accused of falsifying business records to influence the 2016 election. It is a misuse of the statute. The office truly attempting to influence the presidential election is DA Alvin Bragg,” Rivera wrote.

Bragg’s claim that Trump falsified business records to hide payments to his former lawyer Michael Cohen for Stormy Daniels’ nondisclosure agreement amounted to criminal election interference.

Not only does he not have any jurisdiction over federal campaign finance law, but the campaign report that he claims should have included the payment to Daniels wasn’t due until January 2017, months after the election.

The law and the facts aren’t on Bragg’s side.

But Bragg is counting on a rigged jury of 12 Trump-hating Democrats pulled from Manhattan where President Joe Biden received over 80 percent of the vote to see this as their chance to stop Trump from winning the White House with a guilty verdict.

Top Democrats also admit the case is a farce

Rivera isn’t the only one exposing the political nature of Bragg’s charges.

Progressive Caucus Chairwoman Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) went on MSNBC and confessed that Democrat prosecutors only brought criminal charges against Trump because the Senate refused to convict him and bar him from running for office again in the January 6 impeachment hoax.

Jayapal’s comments confirmed Trump’s accusation that Bragg, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, and Special Counsel Jack Smith waited until he was running for re-election to bring these indictments after polls showed he was well-positioned to defeat Biden.

“They waited and brought it right in the middle of my Presidential campaign against the worst and most incompetent President ever, crooked Joe Biden,” Trump declared.
