Donald Trump just drove a stake through the heart of Joe Biden’s worst mistake

The American people handed Donald Trump a mandate to reverse the damage Joe Biden inflicted on America.
President Trump didn’t hesitate in getting down to action.
And Donald Trump just drove a stake through the heart of Joe Biden’s worst mistake.
President Trump created an economic boom in his first term, in part because the Trump administration instituted the largest deregulation effort in American history.
Trump slashed through historic levels of red tape to unleash American business.
This was especially true in the energy sector, which is why gas prices were at $2.39 per gallon when Trump left office, a lower price point than under Joe Biden’s Presidency.
President Trump started with the energy industry for step one in his deregulation agenda for his second term.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin announced that the Trump administration was undertaking an even bigger deregulation effort than the first term.
Target number one was Joe Biden’s Clean Power Plant 2.0 rules that would essentially shut down fossil fuel power plants.
“President Trump promised to kill the Clean Power Plan in his first term, and we continue to build on that progress now,” Zeldin declared.
In 2022, the Supreme Court struck down the original Clean Power Plan, which Barack Obama imposed in 2015.
Biden tried to end it with a lawless scheme to institute the command-and-control policies the Supreme Court previously ruled the President didn’t have the authority to unilaterally enact.
“In reconsidering the Biden-Harris rule that ran afoul of Supreme Court case law, we are seeking to ensure that the agency follows the rule of law while providing all Americans with access to reliable and affordable energy,” Zeldin added.
An agency press release heralded this change as another step in bringing down the cost of energy prices, a key driver of inflation.
“The U.S. Supreme Court struck down the 2015 Clean Power Plan in West Virginia v. EPA, holding that the major questions doctrine barred EPA from misusing the Clean Air Act to manipulate Americans’ energy choices and shift the balance of the nation’s electrical fuel mix,” the EPA press release stated.
“The Biden Administration issued its own rule in 2024, which many critics say is just another attempt to achieve the unlawful fuel-shifting goals of the Clean Power Plan,” the press release added.
But rolling back Clean Power 2.0 was just item number one on the agenda.
In a video posted to social media, Zeldin announced that the administration was taking 31 separate actions to slash regulations and bring down the cost of energy for the American people.
“The Environmental Protection Agency is initiating 31 historic actions to fulfill President Trump’s promise to unleash American energy, revitalize our auto industry, restore the rule of law and give power back to the States. EPA will be reconsidering many suffocating rules that restrict nearly every sector of our economy and cost Americans trillions of dollars,” Zeldin declared.
Inflation is already cooling.
The latest government report showed inflation dropping faster than expected.
President Trump’s efforts to cut spending, shrink government, and slash regulations are taking effect and showing early results.
