Border Patrol Just Notched a Huge Border Milestone and the Comparison to What Happened Under Biden is Brutal

Under Joe Biden, Border Patrol’s hands were tied and illegal aliens entered America unchallenged month after month.

Fourteen months into Donald Trump's presidency, the contrast couldn’t be starker.

It turns out that taking the chains off the Border Patrol makes all the difference.

CBP Says June Numbers Prove The Border Is Actually Closed

Customs and Border Protection confirmed on July 16 that Border Patrol went a 14th straight month without releasing a single illegal alien into the country.

June's tally came in at 9,848 people caught crossing the southwest border.

That number sits 94 percent below what Border Patrol averaged monthly under Biden.

June 2024 saw more people caught in four single days than all of last month combined.

DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin didn't soften the message one bit.

"Our border is CLOSED to lawbreakers," Mullin said.

Border Patrol's workforce also hit a record high, with 21,471 agents now serving along the frontier.

That's the largest force in the agency's 102 year history.

Fentanyl seizures jumped 42 percent from May to June alone.

None of that happened by accident.

The One Month In 2023 That Broke Every Border Record

Rewind to December 2023 and the picture looked nothing like this.

December 2023 still holds the record nobody in the Biden White House wanted to talk about, nearly 302,000 encounters along the southwest border in a single month.

More than three out of every four people Border Patrol caught that December walked free into the country, by the administration's own numbers.

Cartels and smugglers built entire business models around that one policy.

Andrew Arthur of the Center for Immigration Studies testified that the Biden administration chose to ignore the laws Congress wrote, and said the only winners were smugglers and cartels.

Biden and then Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas spent years insisting the border was secure while the country absorbed millions of releases.

Fiscal year 2023 alone brought more than 3.2 million encounters nationwide.

Now look at where things stand.

Fiscal year 2026 is on pace for the fewest border apprehensions since 1967.

That's not a talking point. That's arithmetic Biden's own agency can't argue with.

The streak built one certification at a time.

Six months turned into eight by February, eight turned into 11 by April, and 11 turned into 13 by June.

Now it's 14, and the trend line only moves one direction.

Democrats Are Still Fighting To Fund The Chaos

You'd think a 94 percent drop in illegal crossings would earn bipartisan applause.

Instead, Illinois Senators Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth are attacking the funding that pays for it.

Duckworth's office called the money behind the operation a "disastrous bill."

Durbin stood right beside her, going after the same funding.

These are the same Democrats who spent years defending Biden's open border while calling Border Patrol reforms cruel.

Now that the wall of chaos is gone, they want to cut the checks that built it.

Every one of those 68,000 people Biden released in a single month landed in an American town, an American school, an American job market.

Multiply that by dozens of months and you get the disaster Trump inherited.

Now compare that to a Border Patrol force of 21,471 agents turning away nearly everyone who tries to walk in illegally.

This isn't a policy tweak. It's a total reversal of the strategy Biden and Mayorkas ran for four straight years.

Cartels made billions running human smuggling like a shipping business with guaranteed delivery under Biden's catch and release rules.

That business model just died at the southern border, and it died because Trump enforced the law instead of pretending a crisis wasn't happening.

Durbin and Duckworth can keep calling border funding "disastrous."

The numbers say otherwise, and so does every parent whose kid isn't buying fentanyl smuggled in during Biden's catch and release years.
