Legendary actor Robert De Niro’s case of Trump Derangement Syndrome got the better of him.

He unleashed a hate-filled rant against Donald Trump.

And all hell broke loose when Robert De Niro called Donald Trump one name.

De Niro compares Trump to Adolph Hitler

Robert De Niro – the star of iconic movies like Godfather Part 2, Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, and Raging Bull – is unfortunately not a very creative thinker.

In another one of his tired rants about former President Donald Trump, he resorted to the tired Democrat talking point of comparing Trump to murderous Nazi dictator Adolph Hitler.

De Niro hurled this insult during an appearance on MSNBC’s 11th Hour.

“I don’t understand it. I don’t I don’t think they understand how dangerous it will be if he ever, God forbid, becomes president. I don’t think they really understand. And historically, from what I see, even in Nazi Germany, they had it with Hitler. They don’t take him seriously. He looks like a clown. Acts like a clown,” De Niro ranted.

De Niro then compared Trump supporters to fascists as well.

“Mussolini. Same thing. These guys, I don’t know why they look like clowns. They somehow — people, that element of society identifies in some ways with them,” De Niro added.

Why Republicans support Trump

This is old hat.

Every Republican’s been called a Nazi, a racist, a fascist, or a Hitler wannabe by Democrats.

Then-GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s refusal to fight back against this name-calling in the 2012 Election was seen by many conservatives as the breaking point.

The GOP base was tired of seeing their candidates act like punching bags because losing with honor was the highest ideal.

Republicans wanted a fighter and they turned to Donald Trump in 2016 and never looked back.

If De Niro is trying to figure out the bond between Trump and his voters then he needs to look no further than his own mirror to see how his constant slander of Trump as Hitler and being under siege from every institution controlled by the Left has fed-up Republicans rallying to Trump’s defense.

Elon Musk responds

Tesla CEO and X owner Elon Musk fired back at De Niro.

Musk noted that Trump was President for four years so Americans didn’t have to guess what his Presidency would look like.

Trump’s first three years in office were filled with peace and prosperity until the pandemic hit and Democrats staged a summer-long insurrection in Democrat cities following the death of George Floyd.

“Well, Trump was actually already president for 4 years and his policies bore no resemblance to those of Hitler, so this makes no sense,” Musk wrote on X.

Musk also snarked Trump brokering peace deals for Israel’s Arab neighbors to normalize relations with the Jewish state also wouldn’t have been something Hitler would have supported.

“In fact, with the Abraham Accords, he made some progress towards peace in the Middle East, which was definitely not high on Hitler’s agenda,” Musk added.
