Greg Gutfeld and Kat Timpf Are Mourning a Fan Whose Alleged Killer Walked Free
Andrew Wimsatt kissed his elderly mother goodbye, then walked straight into an ambush ten minutes later.
The man now charged with murdering him had already been arrested three times, twice just this year, and let go anyway.

A 62 Year Old Engineer Killed on Labor Day Morning
Wimsatt was 62, a civil engineer with a Ph.D. who spent his career designing highways and studying transportation safety for the Texas A&M Transportation Institute.
He was not a celebrity.
He was a fan – the kind who showed up in the comments, made clips for the hosts he loved, and became a real friend to the people he watched on television.
On September 7, a witness found him on a park bench in Round Rock, Texas, just after 11 a.m.
He had been stabbed from behind, multiple times, in the neck.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Wimsatt did not know his attacker and never saw him coming.
The Man Charged With His Murder Had Walked Free Months Earlier
Investigators arrested Benedict Chinedu Ogbodiegwu, 26, and charged him with murder.
Surveillance video allegedly showed him approaching Wimsatt from behind before the attack.
Police searched a trash bin at a family address and found a bloody shirt, sweatpants, and a knife that tested positive for blood.
When detectives showed him the surveillance photo, he allegedly admitted it looked like him – then claimed he had a twin brother he could not name.
Ogbodiegwu had three prior arrests, including theft charges and a fake identification charge earlier in 2026.
He had been released from custody in June, months before he allegedly walked up behind a stranger and slit his throat on a park bench.
Police believe the attack was random.
Wimsatt had done nothing to provoke it.
Fox Hosts Remember the Fan Who Became a Friend
Greg Gutfeld said Wimsatt "might be the only person on social media to never leave a bad word on a post about anyone."
Kat Timpf said he was "so kind and generous it almost seems impossible," adding that "he always supported me."
Tyrus remembered a man who "took care of his mother," stayed "always positive," and had "a monster laugh" despite looking fragile at 62.
None of them are strangers to public tributes.
But this one is different, because the man they are mourning was never supposed to be news.
He Was Just a Guy Who Loved His Family and Made People Laugh
The thing that sticks with you here is not the politics.
It is the ordinariness of the morning Andrew Wimsatt lost.
He visited his mother.
He sat down outside on a bench, like millions of Americans do every single day without a second thought.
A man with a knife and a rap sheet ended that in about three minutes, and the only reason most of the country ever heard his name is because he happened to make some Fox News hosts laugh online.
Ogbodiegwu is being held on a $1 million bond, with his next court date set for October 8.
That will not bring Andrew Wimsatt back to his mother, and it will not undo the fact that a man with a documented arrest record was walking around free just months before he allegedly did this.
Somewhere tonight there is a mother in Round Rock who buried her son because a park bench was close to her nursing home.
