Seth Moulton Called His Illegal Alien SOTU Guest a Great American but Police Just Gave Him a Rude Awakening

Seth Moulton brought an illegal alien to Trump's State of the Union and called him a patriot in front of the entire country.
Ten days later, the Boston Herald started asking questions about that "great American's" past.
What police told them should have Moulton rethinking every word he said that night.
How Seth Moulton Hid His Illegal Alien SOTU Guest From DHS
Rep. Seth Moulton had been planning his SOTU stunt for weeks.
He announced loudly that he would bring Marcelo Gomes da Silva – a 19-year-old Brazilian national on an expired student visa – to Trump's address on February 24.
DHS didn't wait for the speech to start.
The agency posted on X that Gomes da Silva "is an illegal alien who has no right to be in our nation" and warned that enforcement would follow.
Moulton's staff rushed the young man out of the House gallery and into the congressman's office for the rest of the evening.
Then Moulton went on television and declared his guest a "great American," a "patriot," and "a reminder of what courage looks like."
Legal scholar Jonathan Turley wasn't buying it.
Turley publicly raised the question of whether Moulton had created "sanctuary offices within Congress" – the same obstruction that got a Milwaukee judge arrested for helping an illegal alien escape her courtroom.
Milford Police Reports Tie Moulton's SOTU Guest to Sexual Assault and Juveniles
The Boston Herald filed public records requests with the Milford Police Department seeking two 2021 reports listing Gomes da Silva as the person of interest.
Milford Deputy Chief John Sanchioni denied both.
His written explanation was brief and devastating.
Report 21-16254, dated June 30, 2021, "involves a sexual assault and juveniles."
Report 21-23101, dated September 15, 2021, "involves juveniles."
He did not elaborate.
Moulton's office responded that their guest had never been charged with a crime – which is exactly what you say when the records are sealed and no one can check.
Gomes da Silva denied the allegations through his lawyer and claimed he only learned about the reports from the media.
The Herald is appealing the denial – because Moulton made this young man's background a matter of public debate the moment he marched him into the United States Capitol as a political prop.
Democrats Brought Illegal Aliens to Trump's State of the Union and Refused to Stand for Americans
Moulton wasn't alone.
Multiple Democrat lawmakers brought illegal aliens, anti-ICE activists, and their family members to sit in the gallery while Trump spoke.
When Trump paused his speech and asked every member of Congress to stand for American citizens over illegal aliens, every single Democrat refused.
Stephen Miller called that moment one that "will live for a thousand years."
DHS had been warning the country all along – noting that ICE officers the day before the SOTU alone had arrested pedophiles, rapists, and violent criminals from American communities.
Democrats heard that warning and brought their own political celebrities anyway.
Moulton's choice wasn't random.
He had championed Gomes da Silva for nearly a year – since ICE detained the young man in May 2025 while searching for his father, a habitual speeder reportedly clocked driving over 100 miles per hour through residential neighborhoods.
Moulton toured the Burlington ICE facility twice, demanded the agency be prosecuted, and turned Gomes da Silva into a cause, a celebrity, and a human shield against Trump's immigration agenda.
The Boston Herald just blew that shield apart.
The Stunt That Backfired
Democrats spent years telling America that illegal aliens brought here as children had clean records.
The entire Gomes da Silva narrative rested on that claim.
Moulton posted "zero criminal record" on X within hours of hiding the young man in his office and accused DHS of "terrorizing young people."
Two sealed police reports from 2021 say there's something Massachusetts doesn't want the public to know.
Trump stood in front of Congress and asked lawmakers to choose American citizens.
Democrats sat down – and one of them was busy protecting a man whose background police won't let voters see.
That's not compassion.
That's exactly what Trump has been warning about for years – and Seth Moulton just handed him the proof.
