Tulsi Gabbard slams Democrats as the party of warmongers and socialists
Former Representative Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) endorsing former President Donald Trump highlighted another aspect of the political realignment America is undergoing.
She backed him because his America First foreign policy is a necessary corrective to the globalist agenda of the modern-day Democrat Party.
Former President Barack Obama started unnecessary and disastrous wars in Syria and Libya.
In 2016, Hillary Clinton campaigned on starting World War III with Russia over Syria.
President Joe Biden made the goal of war with Russia a reality and Vice President Kamala Harris backs the blank check to fund the conflict in Ukraine.
Trump campaigned in 2016 on ending the war in Afghanistan and signed a peace deal that made that possible.
He’s now campaigning to end the war in Ukraine.
The America First foreign policy is a key reason Trump grew his support from 2016 and 2020 as evidenced by the fact that he won the endorsements of former Democrats Tulsi Gabbard, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and Tesla founder Elon Musk.
Fox News host Maria Bartiromo asked Gabbard about Trump’s appeal to old-school liberals and nontraditional voters.
“Congresswoman, let me just ask you this because you were a Democrat at one point. You have been traveling the country with Bobby Kennedy, you saw Elon Musk yesterday with President Trump. Do you believe the GOP is expanding its tent under President Trump?” Bartiromo asks.
Democrats become the party of the Deep State
Gabbard explained that Democrats are no longer the big tent party that she joined.
“Yes. The short answer is, yes. You know, when I joined the Democratic Party over 20 years ago, one of the reasons why I joined that party was because it was a big open tent party that stood up for free speech and civil liberties and welcomed people from different backgrounds. It was a party that stood for peace,” Gabbard began.
But now Democrats are the party of unconstitutional warrantless spying.
In 2013, whistleblower Edward Snowden exposed the illegal Barack Obama scheme to spy on every text message, email, and phone call by Americans.
Biden signed into law an extension of the FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) program the Deep State used to spy on Trump’s 2016 campaign during the Russia collusion hoax.
Gabbard said today’s Democrat Party is unrecognizable to her and Donald Trump turned the Republican Party into the party of peace abroad and prosperity at home.
“You fast forward to where we are today, now that party is no longer recognizable, and you have under President Trump’s leadership what is now a big, open tent party where people are welcomed in not because we agree on every issue — we don’t. We disagree on some issues and maybe some serious issues, but we are standing together around the most important ones that are essential to all of us as Americans,” Gabbard continued.
“You heard President Trump talk about that yesterday with, Elon Musk. It’s what Bobby Kennedy and I are sharing with people across the country, that it is freedom, it is the well-being and interests of the American people, peace, prosperity, and security for all of us,” Gabbard added.
