There’s no denying the fact that Robert De Niro is one of the most influential and greatest actors in history.

But he’s also suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

And the co-hosts of The View were shocked when Robert De Niro revealed why he wanted to punch Donald Trump in the face.

Robert De Niro melts down over Donald Trump on The View

The co-hosts of ABC’s The View are some of the most left-wing, anti-Trump voices in the TV news industry.

Legendary actor and fellow Trump hater Robert De Niro recently made an appearance on The View.

As usual, De Niro started attacking former President Donald Trump as soon as it was his turn to talk.

“Some people have criticized you, because you’ve been pretty open about your dislike for Mr. Trump and the dangers he poses to democracy,” co-host Sunny Hostin said.  “You once famously said you’d like to punch him in the face. What are you thinking?”

“I don’t understand why people are not taking him seriously because you read about it historically in other countries that they didn’t take the people seriously,” De Niro began, before adding, “I think of Hitler and Mussolini.”

“Who does not think that this guy is going to do exactly what he says he’s going to do?” De Niro continued. “He’s done it already. And then what? We’re going to sit around and say, what, we told you so — or whoever, I told you so.”

De Niro then launched into a profanity-laced tirade that caused the producers of the show to turn off his microphone.

Eventually, he answered Hostin’s question about punching Trump in the face.

“When I said I want to punch him in the face, it’s because of what he said to a person, a bystander at one of his rallies,” De Niro said. “He wants to punch them in the face. You don’t talk that way to people.”

“What kind of person does that?” De Niro asked.

Donald Trump deals with protestor in 2016

Of course, De Niro was referring to what happened at a Trump rally back in 2016 where the event was interrupted by a left-wing protester.

“The guards are being very gentle with him,” Trump said. “I’d like to punch him in the face, I’ll tell you that.”

“We’re not allowed to punch back anymore,” Trump said. “You know what they used to do to a guy like that in a place like this? They’d be carried out on a stretcher, folks.”

De Niro wrapped up his time on The View by offering a new slogan for Donald Trump’s campaign.

“It’s almost like he wants to do the worst that he could possibly do to show this country, to f**k  with us,” De Niro said. “His slogan should be ‘F**k America, I want to f**k America.’”

De Niro is a talented actor who has appeared in numerous films that cover a wide range of genres.

But like most of Hollywood, he has become a deranged Trump hater who supports President Joe Biden.

“Robert De Niro has a terminal case of Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Trump previously wrote on Truth Social. “Such a stupid sounding guy, a low IQ individual!”
