President Trump’s agenda is facing internal sabotage.

The swamp has allies in both parties.

And RINO Senator James Lankford stabbed President Trump in the back in this despicable way.

The media thought it could will the 2025 version of Watergate into existence with the Signalgate hoax.

National Security Advisor Michael Waltz mistakenly added left-wing reporter Jeffrey Goldberg to a Signal group chat where Trump advisors debated a proposed military strike against Houthi militants that had been attacking U.S. Navy vessels for over a year.

Goldberg then falsely claimed Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth texted the group classified war plans.

That was untrue.

The strike was also successful.

A combination of those two facts is why the Signalgate hoax failed to gain traction with the American people.

Yet Oklahoma RINO Senator James Lankford was happy to play along with the pro-Democrat Party media in trying to extend the shelf life of this story by telling CNN’s Dana Bash that he supported a witch hunt into the nothing burger of a story in the form of an Inspector General’s investigation.

“I want to get straight to this question of this potential national security breach. The Senate Armed Services Committee chair Roger Wicker, said the incident, quote, raises questions as to the use of unclassified networks to discuss sensitive and classified information. He wants the Pentagon inspector general to investigate. Do you also want an independent investigation into how all of this happened?” Bash asked Lankford during an interview on State of the Union.

Lankford – who schemed with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to try and ram an amnesty bill through the Senate last year – was all too happy to accept the premise of Bash’s question.

“It’s entirely appropriate for the inspector general to be able to look at it and to be able to ask two questions. One is obviously, how did a reporter get into this thread in the conversation?” Lankford stated.

Lankford then never challenged Bash on the false assertion that Hegseth sent classified information to the Signal group chat.

“The second part of the conversation is when individuals from the administration are not sitting at their desks in a classified setting on a classified computer, how do they communicate to each other? Currently, it’s through encrypted apps is how that communication happens. The next question is, is that the right way to be able to do it?” Lankford added.

Donald Trump led a grassroots revolt that killed the amnesty bill Lankford hammered out with Biden, Kamala, Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell.

Lankford was bitter about that defeat as it exposed him to GOP voters as a stooge for the open borders establishment in D.C. and could invite a primary challenge when Lankford runs for re-election in 2026.

Providing oxygen for the Signalgate hoax looks like Lankford’s form of retribution.
