Attorney General Pam Bondi is facing a firestorm over the release of the Epstein files.

Bondi came out swinging.

And Pam Bondi demanded this resignation over the Epstein files.

Top FBI official resigns in Epstein file fallout

The special agent in charge of the New York Field Office James Dennehy announced his resignation in an email to staff.

Dennehy wrote that “I was not given a reason for this decision.”

In a lengthy email Dennehy added that “I’ve been told many times in my life, ‘When you find yourself in a hole, sometimes it’s best to quit digging.’”

But Dennehy declared he would defend the FBI come hell or high water even on the outside.

“Screw that. I will never stop defending this joint. I’ll just do it willingly and proudly from outside the wire,” Dennehy added.

It wasn’t hard to put two and two together and figure out why Attorney General Bondi – who oversees the FBI – would want Dennehy out.

Bondi spent days hyping up the release of the Epstein files.

However, when the day came for Bondi to make good on her boasts, the Epstein files turned into an embarrassment.

Bondi produced 200 pages of flight logs and documents that were released ten years ago to the public.

It looked like another example of the authorities playing bait and switch with the Epstein files.

Trump supporters were furious at Bondi who was responsible for the administration’s first misstep since taking office.

In a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel, Bondi blamed the New York Field Office for deceiving her about how many Epstein documents were in its possession.

“Late yesterday, I learned from a source that the FBI Field Office in New York was in possession of thousands of pages of documents related to the investigation and the indictment of Epstein,” Bondi wrote. “Despite my repeated requests, the FBI never disclosed the existence of these files.”

Dennehy quickly became the fall guy as he previously positioned himself as a resistance figure to President Trump’s agenda.

When acting deputy attorney general Emil Bove ordered the firing of FBI agents that led the January 6 and Mar-a-Lago witch hunts against President Trump and his supporters, Dennehy sent out a defiant email where he positioned himself in opposition to President Trump’s promise to end the weaponization of the government.

“Today, we find ourselves in the middle of a battle of our own, as good people are being walked out of the F.B.I. and others are being targeted because they did their jobs in accordance with the law and F.B.I. policy,” Dennehy declared.

Dennehy told colleagues that he would double down on his resistance to Trump’s pledge to drain the swamp.

“Time for me to dig in,” Dennehy continued.

Pam Bondi blew the initial release of the Epstein files.

And if the FBI is still trying to undermine President Trump’s agenda, Bondi used it as an opportunity to rid the bureau of another anti-Trump resistance figure.
