President Trump was left blindsided.

The news shot through Congress.

And one U.S. Senator was rushed to hospital for these life-threatening injuries.

President Trump announced that a North Dakota Republican Senator suffered a brain bleed after falling on ice at his home.

Trump reported to Americans that Cramer was doing well, and his wife was by his side helping him recover.

“Our Great Senator from North Dakota, Senator Kevin Cramer, just recently slipped on ice, and hit his head, causing quite an injury. He is now resting comfortably, but went through a lot. His wonderful wife, Kris, is with him, and I’m sure he will be fine, but it was a close call! Get well soon Kevin, and thank you to Kris for her quick and very alert response to Kevin’s difficult moment!” Trump wrote on Truth on Social.

Cramer posted a lengthy statement to his Facebook page offering more details on his injuries.

“Late yesterday afternoon, I walked to my backyard intending to retrieve a piece of conduit which came off my dock and was laying on the ice,” Cramer’s statement began.

Cramer said he took a nasty fall walking down a hill and cracked his head so hard he knocked himself out and remembered nothing until arriving at the emergency room where doctors diagnosed him with a concussion, a seizure, and a brain bleed.

“While walking on the hill down to the dock, I stepped on ice and evidently fell hard, hitting the back of my head. I do not remember anything from the fall until arriving at Sanford Health emergency room with [wife] Kris. After seeing the emergency doctor, taking some tests, including a CT Scan, and seeing a neurologist, I was diagnosed with a severe concussion, a seizure, and a slight brain bleed,” Cramer added.

Cramer said doctors stapled up his head because the wound “wouldn’t stop oozing.”

“The wound on my head wouldn’t stop oozing, so the doctor punched a couple of staples on the laceration and admitted me,” Cramer continued.

Cramer said doctors told him he needed to rest and recover with no timetable for his return to Washington.

“I had a good night’s sleep before getting a second CT scan. I am better today with only a slight brain bleed and pretty bad headaches. Doctors prefer I rest a little longer before returning to DC, so I do not know exactly when that will happen. It will be day to day this week, but I am ready to return quickly if events require it,” Cramer concluded.

Americans are relieved to hear that Cramer will recover fully from injuries and return to the Senate.

But Cramer’s absence will affect Donald Trump’s agenda.

House Republicans passed a budget resolution that allows them to move forward on a reconciliation bill containing President Trump’s $4.5 trillion tax cut package, border security and beefing up the American energy industry.

Senate Republicans need to pass a resolution as well.

But Cramer’s absence means Republicans only have 52 votes.

Three no votes – RINOs Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski are sure to vote no leaving no margin for error – means President Trump’s legislative agenda dies.
