NFL QB Lamar Jackson taught one Bills fan a hard lesson about crossing the line

Some football fans think they can do whatever they want to players.

One Bills supporter found out the hard way that there are consequences for putting your hands on people.

And Lamar Jackson taught one Bills fan a hard lesson about crossing the line.

Ravens quarterback wasn’t having it when fan crossed the line

Sunday Night Football delivered one of the most exciting games of the season when the Baltimore Ravens hosted the Buffalo Bills.

The drama wasn’t limited to what happened between the lines.

In the third quarter, Ravens wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins made a spectacular one-handed touchdown catch that had Baltimore fans going wild.

But one Bills fan in a red jersey decided to celebrate by smacking Hopkins right on the helmet.

That should have been the end of it.

Security should have stepped in immediately to remove the fan who thought it was acceptable to put his hands on a player.

Instead, the same fan got bold and tried to do the exact same thing to Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Big mistake.

Jackson wasn’t about to let some stranger put his hands on him.

The superstar quarterback used both hands to forcibly shove the fan, who went tumbling backward.

The message was crystal clear – keep your hands to yourself.

Jackson admits he let his emotions get the best of him

After the Ravens’ heartbreaking 41-40 loss to Buffalo, Jackson spoke to reporters about the incident.

"He slapped me and he talkin’ so you know I just forgot where I was for a little bit," Jackson explained. "You gotta think in those situations, you know, we got security out there, let security handle it, but I let my emotion get the best of me."¹

The Ravens quarterback added, "But hopefully it won’t happen again. You know, I learned from that."²

While Jackson showed some regret about how he handled the situation, he faced zero discipline from the NFL for defending himself.

The fan, on the other hand, got exactly what was coming to him.

Baltimore Banner sports columnist Kyle Goon reported that stadium security ejected the troublemaker immediately after Jackson’s response.³

Some fans need to learn basic respect

Look, here’s the thing about what happened in Baltimore – this wasn’t about Lamar Jackson losing his temper over trash talk.

This was about a grown man physically putting his hands on professional athletes and thinking there wouldn’t be consequences.

The Bills fan didn’t just yell something obnoxious or wave a terrible towel in Jackson’s face.

He actually made physical contact with Hopkins first, then tried to do the same thing to Jackson.

What did he expect was going to happen?

You can’t go around slapping people and think they’re just going to smile and walk away.

Jackson’s response was completely understandable – and frankly, that fan is lucky he only got shoved instead of something worse.

The real question here is where the hell was security when this idiot was smacking players?

Stadium security exists specifically to prevent situations like this from escalating.

But they were apparently asleep at the wheel while some drunk Bills fan decided to treat professional athletes like his personal punching bags.

Jackson shouldn’t have been put in a position where he had to defend himself because security failed to do their job.

And you know what the best part is?

The fan got bounced from the stadium and probably banned for life, while Jackson faces zero consequences for standing up for himself.

Sometimes justice actually works the way it’s supposed to.

That Bills fan learned an expensive lesson about keeping his hands to himself – and hopefully other knuckleheads were paying attention.
