NFL Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher reacted to this major cultural shift by saying ‘No one’s scared anymore’
It’s been a well-known secret that many pro athletes aren’t all that enamored with woke cancel culture.
But now there has been a huge shift in the way pro athletes are handling it.
And NFL Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher reacted to this major cultural shift by saying ‘No one’s scared anymore.’
Pro Football Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher is saying no one is scared anymore to show their support for President-elect Donald Trump.
The Trump dance is taking the sporting world by storm
And if the recent celebrations by college and pro athletes is any indication, that is exactly what is being seen across the sports world.
In recent weeks, several athletes, especially in the NFL, UFC, and college football have been seen doing Trump’s dance in their celebrations.
The Trump dance celebrations really took off over this past weekend at UFC 309 with the president-elect present for the night of fights.
“People were scared for a while. You don’t want people to talk bad about you, how we’ve been talked about the last four years if you’re a Donald Trump supporter,” Urlacher said on Fox News Channel’s Jesse Watters Primetime.
“I think now, no one’s scared anymore. It’s nice to see these guys coming out and everyone who’s a silent Trump supporter – he under polls always. … I think they’re just excited now that he got the job done, and he’s gonna get the job done the next four years.”
Urlacher also said he believed that pure excitement about Trump’s return to the White House has “taken over.”
For his part, the former Chicago Bears star has been an outspoken and unapologetic Trump supporter.
He also voiced his strong support for San Francisco 49ers star Nick Bosa after the defensive end drew scrutiny, and a fine, for flashing a Make America Great Again hat during a postgame interview.
A complete change in culture sweeping the nation
Urlacher posed for a picture with the then-president in early 2021 with his Bears jersey laid out on the desk.
“This was a once in a lifetime experience! Got to hang in the Oval Office with President Trump and my family. He could not have been any nicer or accommodating to all of us. Also thanks to Jeff and Nick for the amazing tour of the WH,” he captioned his Instagram photo.
But Urlacher was in the minority among sports celebrities.
Many, even if they supported Trump, kept it quiet for fear of facing woke backlash.
But now it is becoming clearer every day that there is a total shift in culture.
Rather than kneeling during the national anthem and pushing radical DEI and transgender politics, athletes are openly showing their support of Donald Trump.
The shift from 2016 to 2024 is a major one that is also being seen across the country, even to a lesser degree in the entertainment industry.
And Urlacher is exactly right in saying that Trump supporters who were once scared to be public are finally willing to step out of the shadows and loudly and proudly proclaim their support of Donald Trump and America First.
