Navy SEAL Who Killed Bin Laden Says Charlie Kirk Footage Doesn’t Add Up

Charlie Kirk bled out in front of a stunned campus crowd at Utah Valley University last September.

Now the Navy SEAL credited with killing Osama bin Laden says the video still doesn't sit right with him.

Rob O'Neill told Newsmax one detail from that day bothers him more than anything else.

Rob O'Neill is not a guy who watched a clip and formed an opinion.

He is the operator credited with putting the kill shot in Osama bin Laden during the 2011 raid on Abbottabad.

He has been in more real gunfights than every cable news panel combined.

So when Newsmax asked him what bothers him most about the investigation into Charlie Kirk's death, people listened.

"I've never seen a shirt move like that, that looks like an explosion to me," O'Neill said.

O'Neill said flatly he wasn't alleging a specific cover-up or naming a culprit.

He also acknowledged Tyler Robinson could still be the man responsible.

What he questioned was narrower and stranger: whether the movement on tape matches a rifle round at all.

O'Neill also brought up the chaos in the seconds after Kirk went down.

He said people on scene seemed more focused on pulling SIM cards from cameras than on saving a dying man.

That detail, he said, has stuck with him as much as the wound itself.

Ten months later, O'Neill says he still can't square what he watched with what he's seen in real combat.

The Feud Inside Kirk's Own Camp Won't Die Either

O'Neill isn't the only person still circling this case.

Candace Owens, once one of Charlie Kirk's closest friends, has spent nearly a year publicly questioning the official account of her husband's death.

The two women tried to bury the hatchet at a private meeting brokered by Megyn Kelly back in December.

That truce lasted about six weeks before Owens released leaked audio she said showed Kirk discussing memorial merchandise sales just days after the assassination.

This week the feud reignited completely, with Owens accusing Kirk of treating her husband's death like her own "personal coronation."

Kirk answered in a video addressing what she called a daily barrage of false headlines about her.

Months earlier, asked directly what she'd tell Owens, Kirk hadn't hedged.

"Stop," she said. "That's it. That's all I have to say. Stop."

Owens, for her part, has pointed to a Turning Point USA betrayal and a foreign conspiracy involving Israel, claims TPUSA allies have flatly denied.

O'Neill's Newsmax appearance drops right into the middle of that fight, whether he meant it to or not.

Meanwhile, the criminal case has moved forward with its own pile of evidence.

Prosecutors spent five straight days in a Provo courtroom laying out their case against Robinson.

They presented campus surveillance video, a rifle, a screwdriver, and messages they describe as a confession.

Robinson faces six felony charges, including aggravated murder, and has not entered a plea.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty, and Judge Tony Graf will soon decide whether the case proceeds to a full trial.

Nobody Will Actually Answer O'Neill's Question

Here's what should bother you more than the shirt.

A guy who has actually seen what a bullet does to a body up close asked one direct, specific question.

Instead of answering it, the people running this investigation did what officials always do with a question they don't like.

They rolled their eyes and moved on.

O'Neill never said Robinson is innocent.

He asked one narrow thing: does the movement and wound on that tape match a rifle round, yes or no.

Nobody in a position to answer it has bothered to try.

That's been the pattern with this case from the very beginning.

Until they start doing that, this story isn't going away, and it shouldn't.
