Former First Lady Melania Trump picked five weeks before the 2024 Election to declare that she is rabidly pro-abortion in her memoir Melania.
Some media personalities – as well as many conservatives – thought she was trying to sabotage her husband’s campaign.
MSNBC’s Morning Joe went off the rails with their discussion of her announcement.
Contributor Katty Kay claimed Melania Trump was playing 4D chess to appeal to young male voters aged 18-34 who voted in favor of pro-abortion referendums in states like Ohio, Kentucky, and Kansas, but who otherwise are the anti-woke, UFC fans that the Trump campaign thinks it can turn out in record numbers.
“I don’t know that this makes any difference in terms of the election or the grander scheme of things. But it is worth pointing out that one of the most pro-choice groups in the United States at the moment is young men under the age of 40 who actually have turned out in all of those referendums that we’ve had in Kentucky, I mean Kansas and Ohio, they’ve turned out to defeat restrictions on abortion,” Kay stated.
Conservatives hoped what happened next taught Melania a lesson about trying to appeal to the Left.
Even though Melania agreed with Democrats on abortion, Daily Beast Chief Content and Creative Officer Joanna Coles still mocked her as a whore by joking that the former First Lady tried to appeal to those young male voters through the topless photos she took for GQ Magazine back in 2000.
“Well, she may have been speaking to those young men with her naked pictures when she did the nude photoshoots in GQ,” Coles snarked.

In a video posted to social media to promote Melania, the former First Lady slammed critics of her topless modeling photos questioning why they tried to make her feel shame for work she should otherwise be proud of.
“Why do I stand proudly behind my nude modeling work?” Melania stated. “The more pressing question is why has the media chosen to scrutinize my celebration of the human form in a fashion photoshoot? Are we no longer able to appreciate the beauty of the human body?”
Melania argued that throughout history classical artists celebrated the female form and she was simply following along in that tradition.
“Throughout history, master artists have revered the human shape, evoking profound emotions and admiration. We should honor our bodies and embrace the timeless tradition of using art as a powerful means of self-expression,” Trump concluded.
Melania Trump needs to understand that the Left doesn’t care about intellectual consistency.
All the Left cares about is preventing former President Donald Trump from holding power.
And Democrats will throw everything they believe in about empowering women out the window if it means defeating him in the election.
