Karoline Leavitt hit the fake news media with one haymaker that left Democrats in tears

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt won’t let up in fighting back against the fake news media.
President Trump and conservatives are cheering her on.
And Karoline Leavitt hit the fake news media with one haymaker that left Democrats in tears.
Karoline Leavitt announces new press pool rules
A cartel of liberal journalists – the White House Correspondents Association – chose the press pool that covered the President of the United States.
The press pool are the ones who ask the President questions and news organizations cite their accounts of the President’s movements and words in their stories.
In actuality, the press pool is less a reporting tool than a means by which left-wing media organizations shape the narrative about politics.
Leftist activists ask questions of the President framed on Democrats’ terms and the pool’s coverage of the President is worded in ways that make a Democrat President look good and a Republican President look bad.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt decided enough was enough with catering to the left-wing media’s desire to create their own club that grants themselves status above all other news organizations.
That’s why Leavitt announced that the White House Correspondents’ Association would no longer select the President’s press pool.
“A group of DC-based journalists, the White House Correspondents’ Association, has long dictated which journalists get to ask questions of the President of the United States. Not anymore. Today, I was proud to announce that we are giving the power back to the people,” Leavitt began.
Leavitt broke the stranglehold left-wing propaganda organizations had on shaping the narrative by explaining that the White House press team would pick the pool and its news outlets that leftist media elites previously excluded would now have a chance to cover the President and ask questions.
“Moving forward, the ‘White House Press Pool,’ will be determined by the White House Press Team. Legacy outlets who have participated in the press pool for decades will still be allowed to join – but we will also be offering the privilege to well-deserving outlets who have never been allowed to share in this awesome responsibility,” Leavitt concluded.
White House Correspondents Association President Eugene Daniels issues a statement decrying Leavitt’s announcement as an attack on independent journalism.
“This move tears at the independence of a free press in the United States. It suggests the government will choose the journalists who cover the president. In a free country, leaders must not be able to choose their own press corps,” Daniels ranted.
“To be clear, the White House did not give the WHCA board a heads up or have any discussions about today’s announcements,” Daniels added. “But the WHCA will never stop advocating for comprehensive access, full transparency and the right of the American public to read, listen to and watch reports from the White House, delivered without fear or favor.”
Daniels – whose work at POLITICO during the 2024 campaign was widely mocked as an audition to become Kamala Harris’ White House Press Secretary – proved Leavitt’s point that the organization is a collection of leftist ideologues that seek to enforce ideological control over shaping news about the President.
That’s because shortly after issuing this statement, Daniels announced he was leaving POLITICO to replace Joy Reid at MSNBC.
