Chuck Schumer faces vicious backlash from Democrats 

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is fighting for his job after he helped Senate Republicans pass a continuing resolution to keep the government funded. 

The Democrat base was adamant about forcing a government shutdown to stick it to President Donald Trump. 

Schumer has faced growing criticism from the left-wing media and Democrat members of Congress for averting a government shutdown. 

Representative Glenn Ivey (D-MD) called out Senate Democrats to oust Schumer as their leader. 

U.S. Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) said that voting to keep the government funded was a rare instance of Schumer getting it right during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s Hannity. 

 “I don’t hate anybody, and that includes Senator Schumer. He’s very smart. On the other hand, Chuck’s often wrong,” Kennedy explained. “He never makes the same mistake twice, he makes it five or six times just to be sure. But this time he got it right in supporting our efforts to keep government open.”

Kennedy admitted that voting to keep the government funded made Schumer about as popular as a venereal disease with his party. 

“Unless a football coach taught you history, you understand that shutting government down never achieves anything. It just scares people, especially the elderly,” Kennedy stated. “Having said that, many Democrats are angry at Schumer. Among them right now, we’ve all seen the news, he’s about as popular as chlamydia.”

The far-left has cemented its control of the Democrat Party 

Kennedy argued that anger directed at Schumer was a sign that the far-Left was driving the bus in the Democrat Party. 

“That, to me, says as much about the Democratic Party as it does about Senator Schumer. What it tells me is that the loon wing of the Democratic Party is firmly in control. Now, that’s great for the Republican Party, but it’s bad for America,” Kennedy said. 

Schumer had to cancel a book tour after his vote because of the intense backlash he was facing from the base of his party. 

The 2028 Presidential contenders in the Democrat Party including Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker (D), and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz have all ripped Schumer for averting a shutdown. 

Ocasio-Cortez and U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) have held large rallies denouncing the Democrat establishment. 

Democrats and their media allies can smell blood in the water. 

CBS Morning host Gayle King told Schumer point blank during an appearance on the show that his party had lost faith in his leadership. 

“Senator, people don’t have faith in the Democrats,” King noted. 

A CNN/SSRS poll found that Democrats had a favorability rating of 29%, a historic low.

The Democrat base is frustrated that the party isn’t doing more to fight Trump. 

Schumer is becoming the lightning rod for their anger. 

His political career could be another casualty of Donald Trump’s Presidency.
