Special counsel Jack Smith failed in his effort to meddle in the 2024 election by jailing Donald Trump.

Now the investigators may find out what it’s like to be investigated.

And Jack Smith’s worst nightmare is about to come true when Donald Trump takes office.

Jack Smith formally surrendered by filing motions to withdraw his witch hunts against Donald Trump.

But that’s just the start of the problem for Smith and his prosecutors.

Critics contend Smith and his team bent the law to invent crimes to charge Trump with.

And with the Trump Justice Department set to take office, Smith’s prosecutors are now fearing investigations into their conduct.

“One former senior White House official said aides inside the White House and across various federal agencies are intensely worried about the possibility that the incoming Trump administration will prosecute anyone deemed as having antagonized the president-elect,” CNN exclusively reported.

Smith’s prosecutors are starting to lawyer up as they now worry about facing investigations and the charges they used against – conspiracy to deny rights – could be used against them.

“Additionally, several prominent white-collar lawyers across Washington have fielded calls in recent weeks from government officials, including investigators from Smith’s office, who are concerned they could be targeted by the incoming Trump administration,” CNN’s report continued.

In addition, Smith’s prosecutors are looking to arrange their finances to protect their family members by avoiding bankruptcy from legal fees if they come under investigation.

“Some federal investigators, including more junior staff, have talked to attorneys and legal groups about possible ways a rejuvenated Trump Justice Department could try to make their lives hell, what precautionary measures they should take, and even how to avoid going bankrupt if the revenge probes come in full force, the sources add,” an exclusive report in Rolling Stone read.

“At least one such investigator has privately inquired if there are steps, even extreme ones, they can take to protect their spouse’s assets, in the event of harmful criminal charges, the former DOJ official says,” the Rolling Stone report added.

The media and Democrat Party claim any investigation of Smith and his prosecutors would be weaponizing the Justice Department to go after Trump’s pursuers.

That strikes tens of millions of Americans as especially rich since Smith was tasked with investigating Trump one week after Trump announced his re-election campaign.

For eight years Democrats and the media threw all rules, Constitutional norms, and guardrails out the window, as well as the rule of law, as it meant getting Donald Trump.

The Left believes investigating Donald Trump comes with a get out of jail free card.

But the reality of the situation is that Joe Biden, Merrick Garland, Jack Smith, and the prosecutors in the Justice Department ran roughshod over the Constitution in pursuit of Donald Trump.

And now they fear it might be time to face the music.
