Donald Trump tackled one scary problem that left Democrats in stunned silence

Donald Trump rolled up his sleeves and went to work.
He went after one of the worst messes left behind by Joe Biden.
And Donald Trump tackled one scary problem that left Democrats in stunned silence.
Arrests of illegal aliens surge under Donald Trump
The number of illegal aliens arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) surged under President Donald Trump.
Trump vowed to carry out the mass deportation of illegal aliens during his Presidency.
His administration is taking dangerous criminal and national security threats off the streets as part of the first phase of mass deportations but is also picking up anyone in the country illegally.
ICE arrested 11,791 illegal aliens from January 20 to February 8th.
4,969 illegal aliens were arrested by ICE during the same period last year under former President Joe Biden.
Trump has seen ICE arrests jump by 137% compared to Biden during that time period.
ICE arrested 8,993 illegal aliens with criminal records under Trump compared to 4,526 in the same time span in 2024.
Arrests of illegal aliens who are suspected gang members increased by 105% under Trump.
The number of illegal aliens arrested in local jails has jumped by 59% during that time span compared to Biden’s Presidency.
ICE has been conducting nationwide sweeps to arrest illegal aliens.
Arrests of illegal aliens who are fugitives from the law have gone up 156% under Trump.
Trump’s mass deportation effort ramps up
The Trump administration has stepped up its efforts to deport illegal aliens.
Attorney General Pam Bondi filed lawsuits against New York and Chicago over sanctuary laws.
One of the biggest logistical hurdles to the mass deportation of illegal aliens is detention facilities to hold them while they’re awaiting flights back to their home countries.
The military announced that it would hold more than 30,000 illegal aliens awaiting deportation at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba.
Federal prisons are being used to house illegal aliens while the administration waits for more detention facilities to come online.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said that ICE had beds to house violent criminal illegal aliens that ICE was taking off the streets.
“We have thousands of beds in detention facilities that are open today,” Noem told Fox News Sunday. “We’ll continue to do ops in the different communities to get these dangerous criminals off of our streets and to get them home.”
Trump has also made an impact on the number of illegal aliens trying to enter the country at the southern border.
Border Patrol agents have apprehended an average of 359 illegal aliens a day at the southern border during the month of February.
That’s a drop of 90% compared to February 2024 under Biden.
Center for Immigration Studies executive director Mark Krikorian said border apprehensions are at the lowest level “in almost a lifetime.”
“If you kind of break down the numbers, divide them by 365, we haven’t had numbers this low since the 1960s,” Krikorian said. “So we’re talking 60-year lows if it’s sustained, obviously.”
Donald Trump has made his impact on illegal immigration felt after returning to the White House.
