Daniel Penny was part of Trump entourage at Army-Navy football game
The Army-Navy football game is an American tradition unlike any other.
It’s called a game of honor because it’s the only sporting event in America where the competitors on the field are willing to die for the fans in the stands.
The game is one of Donald Trump’s favorite traditions and he regularly attended when he was President.
Trump attended this year’s game as the President-elect.
Vice President-elect J.D. Vance joined Trump.
As did Tulsi Gabbard, Trump’s nominee to serve as Director of National Intelligence, and Pete Hegseth, Trump’s pick for Secretary of Defense.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and incoming Senate Majority leader John Thune (R-SD) also sat with Trump.
Trump and his allies showing up for the game was a simple gesture to the country that they are in touch with culture and shared in a moment where Americans came together to celebrate the heroic young men that signed up to defend the country.
But there was one other guest in Trump’s box that stood out.
Daniel Penny.
Vance invited Penny – a fellow former Marine – to attend the game with him and President Trump.
Like Donald Trump, Penny was a victim of Alvin Bragg’s political lawfare when Bragg tried to send him to jail for Jordan Neely’s death to pacify Black Lives Matter.
Penny acted to save lives by restraining Neely after Neely threatened the lives of other passengers on a New York City subway car and told them he didn’t care about going to jail for the rest of his life.
A jury acquitted Penny on the bogus charge of criminally negligent homicide.
Vance wrote on social media that Penny was a good guy who Bragg targeted with an abusive and injury prosecution.
“Daniel’s a good guy, and New York’s mob district attorney tried to ruin his life for having a backbone. I’m grateful he accepted my invitation and hope he’s able to have fun and appreciate how much his fellow citizens admire his courage,” Vance wrote on X.

Bragg wanted to jail Trump and Penny solely out of political calculation.
In 2021, Bragg ran for office on a promise to jail Donald Trump.
Bragg then tried to lock up Penny because he was afraid Black Lives Matter would ruin his 2025 re-election campaign.
This is the type of politicized law enforcement that the American people rejected on November 5 and that Donald Trump has promised to end.
