Dodge Teases New Brembo Caliper Color for the Charger That Just Beat Its Own EV

Dodge already pulled the plug on the electric Charger Daytona R/T, and the gas Charger just buried what was left of the EV lineup in sales.

Now Dodge is rewarding the gas Charger faithful with a fresh round of factory personalization options nobody expected this soon.

One of those new options is a brake caliper color Mopar guys have been begging for since the Hellcat era.

Orange and Black Calipers Join the 2027 Charger Options Sheet

Dodge just teased Bright Orange Brembo brake calipers for the 2027 Charger.

A new Black caliper option is coming alongside it.

Dodge showed the orange calipers on a Charger SIXPACK Scat Pack Plus finished in White Knuckle paint with a satin black hood.

Red has been the go-to caliper color since the SRT Hellcat days, the shade every Challenger and Charger owner slapped on their build sheet to signal serious business under the hood.

Orange and black break that streak for the first time in years.

Dodge confirmed the orange and black finishes "will also become available with select Brembo packages later in the model year," meaning early 2027 order banks will open before the color choice does.

Dodge has not broken out a separate price for the caliper option, but the rest of the 2027 sheet shows exactly what a buyer is working with.

Charger R/T starts at 49,995 dollars, Scat Pack starts at 54,995 dollars, and the electrified Daytona Scat Pack now runs 72,495 dollars after a 12,500 dollar jump from last year.

The calipers are part of a larger wave, with Dodge adding more than 25 new factory personalization options to the 2027 Charger lineup.

New exterior colors called Red Oxide and Purple Haze are joining the sheet, along with new graphics packages, stripe kits, and interior leather choices.

A Dodge spokesperson kept it simple, saying the orange calipers will not change how the car performs but give buyers another way to make their Charger their own.

That is corporate speak for buyers finally getting to make their car look as loud as it drives.

Gas Charger Sales Just Buried the Electric Daytona

The numbers explain why Dodge is suddenly in a giving mood.

Dodge's twin-turbo SIXPACK inline-six posted a 404 percent sales jump in the second quarter of 2026 compared to a year earlier, while Charger Daytona EV sales dropped 88 percent over that same stretch.

Dodge already answered the horsepower question with the new Charger Super Bee, which packs 600 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque out of that same twin-turbo six.

That car hits 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and clears the quarter mile in 11.8 seconds, numbers that would have embarrassed plenty of V8 Hellcats a decade ago.

Buyers are still waiting on the supercharged Hellcat V8 to make its return to the Charger lineup, and Dodge knows it.

Every personalization option Dodge adds right now, orange calipers included, is Dodge betting on drivers who want a car that looks and sounds like a muscle car, not a smartphone on wheels.
