CNN kneecapped this Kamala Harris lie with a fact check every American over 50 needs to hear
It’s no secret that battleground state polls have slowly but surely begun to move in Donald Trump’s favor over the past couple of weeks.
With time running out before Election Day, the reality of the situation is forcing Democrats to pull out all of their dirty tricks.
But CNN kneecapped this Kamala Harris lie with a fact check every American over 50 needs to hear.
Democrats’ oldest Big Lie
Without fail, every single Presidential election since at least 1980 – likely longer – has seen Democrats falsely claim that the Republican nominee wanted nothing more than to gut Social Security.
They’ve run countless ads over the years depicting Republicans throwing wheelchair-bound grandmothers off cliffs and other over-the-top, fear-mongering acts to drive home the idea that without a Democrat in the White House, America’s seniors would be left to die without the assistance of Social Security.
Of course, in reality, no Republican President nor Presidential candidate has ever supported the idea of gutting Social Security – although it certainly needs some work, or else it will surely become insolvent as the ruling class elites in both parties continue to rob money from the social safety net in order to continue funding the more $2 trillion annual budget deficits they run up every year.
True to form as the puppet candidate she is, Vice President Kamala Harris has repeated this lie while reading from her teleprompter and scripted talking points crafted by Hollywood screenwriters.
During a recent campaign event in North Carolina, Kamala claimed that former President Donald Trump “will give billionaires and corporations massive tax cuts, cut Social Security and Medicare, and make it easier for companies to deny overtime pay for workers.”
On her campaign website, Kamala claims that she “will protect Social Security and Medicare against relentless attacks from Donald Trump and his extreme allies.”
She’s also doubled down on those attacks through various TV ads and social media posts.
In fact, Kamala has been spreading this lie since she first entered the race back at the end of July, telling her supporters at her very first rally as Democrat elites’ handpicked nominee that Trump’s so-called “Project 2025” plan – which has been proven to have no affiliation with Trump – made it clear that “Trump intends to cut Social Security and Medicare.”
CNN suddenly decided to do its job by fact-checking Kamala’s claim in the final weeks of the race.
Read it for yourself
During a recent segment on CNN’s Newsroom, Daniel Dale – who initially made a name for himself in 2016 by using his position to claim virtually every word Trump spoke was somehow a lie – pointed out the facts of the situation.
“She’s been saying that at a bunch of events dating back to July, that Project 2025, this conservative think tank plan that sets up proposals for a next Republican administration, says that Social Security should be cut under the next administration,” Dale explained.
As he pointed out, though, Project 2025 and Trump’s actual plans are openly available online, and can be plainly read by anyone who takes the time.
“So Project 2025 is online,” Dale continued. “It’s a giant document, you can read it. Nowhere in there does it call for Social Security cuts. In fact, it barely mentions Social Security. Now, it does say that the federal budget should be balanced and Harris’ allies might tell you, well, you can’t reasonably do that without Social Security cuts.”
“I think that’s a pretty indirect argument, though, compared to what Vice President Harris is saying,” Dale added.
Of course, the Democrat idea that the federal government’s bloated budget cannot possibly be balanced without cuts to Social Security is flimsy, at best – interest payments on the federal debt alone now account for over $1 trillion of the nation’s annual budget.
There are untold sums of more in wasteful spending each year that could easily be slashed without ever touching Social Security.
Nevertheless, it’s abundantly clear that Kamala Harris’ fear-mongering attacks on Donald Trump aren’t about facts and reality.
They’re about scaring voters who rely on Social Security into voting for her and her fellow Democrats.
