All hell broke loose when Donald Trump asked Devin Nunes to take on this job
Donald Trump continues to fill out his team.
The second Trump administration is shaping up to serve as a shock to the system.
And all hell broke loose when Donald Trump asked Devin Nunes to take on this job.
Devin Nunes emerged as one of the most effective members of Congress in Donald Trump’s first term.
Nunes chaired the House Intelligence Committee, where it fell to him to debunk Adam Schiff and the left-wing media’s lies and hoaxes.
It was Nunes whose memo about the Russia collusion hoax uncovered that Hillary Clinton’s campaign paid for the fake news Christopher Steele Dossier.
Nunes’ memo also exposed how the FBI violated protocol in using the unverified dossier to trick a FISA court judge into approving a warrant to spy on former Trump foreign policy aide Carter Page.
As soon as the Russia hoax unraveled, Schiff and the media picked up the Ukraine impeachment hoax.
It fell to Nunes to lead the GOP effort to debunk the false claim that Trump pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to dig up dirt on Joe and Hunter Biden.
Trump is coming into term number two determined to drain the Swamp.
The intelligence community is target number one.
Not only did the deep state run the Russia collusion and Ukraine impeachment hoaxes, but 51 former intelligence community officials signed a disgraceful letter claiming Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation.
That lie provided cover for Big Tech to censor the New York Post’s report about the laptop, which ultimately handed the election to Joe Biden.
Trump knows he needs allies in place to take on the deep state.
That’s why Trump nominated Tulsi Gabbard to serve as Director of National Intelligence.
And that’s why Trump nominated Devin Nunes to serve as the Chairman of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board (PIAB).
“I am pleased to announce that I will appoint Truth Social CEO Devin Nunes as Chairman of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board, which consists of distinguished citizens from outside of the Federal Government,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“While continuing his leadership of Trump Media & Technology Group, Devin will draw on his experience as former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and his key role in exposing the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, to provide me with independent assessments of the effectiveness and propriety of the U.S. Intelligence Community’s activities. Congratulations Devin!” Trump added.
According to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s website, “The PIAB exists exclusively to provide the President with an independent source of advice on the effectiveness with which the IC is meeting the nation’s intelligence needs and the vigor and insight with which the community plans for the future.”
Donald Trump doesn’t want a repeat of the first term, where his own government spent four years trying to impeach and arrest him.
That means keeping the intelligence community in check.
And to do so, Donald Trump needs people in key positions that he can trust.
Devin Nunes and Tulsi Gabbard fit that bill.
