Adam Schiff just did Alvin Bragg this disgusting favor
Alvin Bragg looked like he was on the losing end of his lawfare against Donald Trump.
Then Senator-elect Adam Schiff stepped in.
And Adam Schiff just did Alvin Bragg this disgusting favor.
Adam Schiff’s new anti-Trump hoax
Adam Schiff led the Russia collusion and Ukraine impeachment hoaxes during Trump’s first term.
Schiff appeared to learn no lesson as he gears up to enter the United States Senate.
Schiff latched on to the “Trump is a dictator hoax” that the public discredited by handing Trump a landslide win on November 5.
Responding to Meet the Press host Kristin Welker’s question about Trump identifying radical leftists as the “enemy within,” Schiff repeated the debunked talking point that Donald Trump idolized dictators.
“Well, that’s dictator talk. That’s how autocrats talk. They want to make their political opposition an enemy, describe them in those terms. But look, I’m not concerned about myself. I’m going to do my job,” Schiff began.
“I’m not going to have his threats intimidate me from doing so. But anytime you have someone that, particularly someone who’s going to become president of the United States, fawning over dictators, emulating their language, attacking the press, undermining our institutions, yeah, we should be concerned about it,” Schiff added.
“Because at the end of the day, it means that the American people will suffer. The American people, I think, voted on the basis of the economy. They wanted change to the economy. They weren’t voting for dictatorship. So, I think he is going to misread his mandate if that’s what he thinks voters chose him for,” Schiff continued.
Schiff still wants to see Donald Trump win jail
Schiff then pivoted to the possibility that Judge Juan Merchan will vacate the guilty verdict against Donald Trump in Alvin Bragg’s trial on the count of Presidential immunity.
The Senator-elect told Welker that Merchan should pause sentencing and let it hang over Donald Trump’s entire Presidency, and then send Trump to jail after he leaves office in 2029 when he is 82 years old.
Schiff also claimed the two Jack Smith witch hunts should stay alive so Democrats can put Trump on trial when he’s in his 80s.
“I don’t. I think the sentencing and further proceedings in the New York case should be deferred until after he leaves office. And likewise, I think further proceedings in the two federal cases should be deferred until he leaves office,” Schiff stated.
Schiff ignored the Presidential immunity ruling or how blatantly unconstitutional Bragg’s charges against Trump were to claim the only reason to vacate this guilty verdict is because Trump won the election.
“But they should not be dismissed. A jury of Donald Trump’s peers found him guilty. He’s no less guilty because he won an election. There were two grand juries who found probable cause to believe Donald Trump committed federal crimes,” Schiff declared.
Schiff ranted that Trump winning the election isn’t an excuse to make lawfare disappear even though Democrats made lawfare their main campaign strategy and voters soundly rejected it.
“Those cases shouldn’t go away simply because he was elected. The presidency is not a get-out-of-jail-free card. Instead, they should postpone further proceedings until after he leaves office,” Schiff concluded.
