Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is still paying for her political persecution of President Trump.

Willis keeps losing in court.

And now a judge slapped Fani Willis with an ultimatum that left Trump grinning from ear to ear.

Ashleigh Merchant became a household name last year when she filed a motion to dismiss Willis from the Georgia 2020 election witch hunt for conflict of interest.

Merchant discovered that Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade were having an affair that may have financially benefited the two.

Willis dragged on the investigation into Trump for over two years while Wade raked in $654,000 in legal fees paid for by taxpayers.

Wade allegedly used the money to pay for he and Willis to travel on fancy vacations.

The appearance of impropriety was staggering.

Did the Fulton County District Attorney let an investigation into a political opponent run far longer than necessary because it was in her and her lover’s financial best interest?

These questions were put before a court.

The trial court ruled that Willis could remain on the case even though he strongly hinted in his ruling that Wade and Willis lied under oath when they denied their affair began before Willis brought Wade onboard the Trump case.

Ultimately an appeals court disqualified Willis from the case which now sits in limbo as the state must find a new prosecutor to decide what to do with this case as it’s the last remaining leg of the lawfare Democrat prosecutors waged against Trump in the hopes of influencing the 2024 election.

But Willis’s legal woes were just beginning.

Merchant sued Willis over her office not turning over relevant records.

Fulton County Justice Rachel Krause agreed and awarded Merchant $54,000 in attorney’s fees and ordered Willis to turn over relevant documents such as list of the lawyers Willis hired as well as the date Willis decided to hire them; any confidentiality agreements Willis forced employees to sign as well as marketing materials.

“The judge found that the D.A.’s office had been “openly hostile” to Merchant and handled her open records requests in a manner that “indicates a lack of good faith,” Fox 5 in Atlanta reported.

The New York Post reported that Krause found that “Willis’ office who handled Merchant’s records requests ‘were openly hostile’ to the defense lawyer and testified that they handled her request differently than normal, including by not calling her to clarify her request, as was customary.”

Judge Krause wrote in the opinion that Willis’ office stonewalling on turning over the documents was “intentional, not done in good faith, and [was] substantially groundless and vexatious.”

Merchant cheered the ruling in a post on X.

“Proud that we have judges willing to hold people in power accountable when they ignore the law!!!!” Merchant exclaimed.

Fani Willis tried to build a political career by indicting Donald Trump.

But in the end, weaponizing her office may cost her everything.
