Steelers linebacker TJ Watt’s Wife Dropped the Gloves on the NFL as All Hell Breaks Loose in Paris

TJ Watt's wife shared one blunt reaction after the NFL confirmed the Paris game will go on as scheduled.
French riots beginning in mid-October left more than a thousand people under arrest and dozens of officers hurt.
Her question about the NFL's priorities is about to get a very public answer.
What Set Off a Thousand Arrests in Paris
Dani Watt is a retired professional soccer player and the wife of Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt.
She posted a CBS Pittsburgh headline to her Instagram Story confirming the NFL would proceed with the game.
Her response was three words and three question marks.
"Tell me how this makes sense???" Watt wrote.
She was reacting to real chaos, not a hypothetical.
Protests allegedly sparked over the cost of living and education funding spread across France starting October 17.
What began as marches over grocery and energy prices turned into looting and street fires within days, as native and non-native French residents alike reportedly joined in.

French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu reported 1,200 arrests nationwide.
He also reported at least 150 injured police officers and gendarmes.
Looting, fires, and street clashes followed in multiple cities.
Years of French tax-and-spend policy drove the cost of living higher until those costs finally boiled over into the street.

The French government deployed troops to backfill exhausted police on the front lines.
Why the NFL Won't Move the Steelers Game
The Steelers and Saints are set to play at Stade de France on October 25, the league's first regular-season game ever held in France.
The decision to keep playing belongs to Commissioner Roger Goodell, and it was NFL executive Peter O'Reilly who had to defend it at the league's fall meetings.
He said the league had people on the ground in Paris for ten days working with local officials.
"There's nothing more important from our standpoint than the teams' security, the fans' security," O'Reilly said.
The league says it is adding security measures and coordinating with the State Department.
It insists none of that will pull resources away from the city around it.
The Saints already flew to Paris after beating the Giants, and the Steelers are set to travel in the days leading up to kickoff.
Saints spokesman Greg Bensel confirmed the team's position.
"We concur with the NFL's statement and are planning to play the game," Bensel said.
Why Nobody at the NFL Will Say the Word Risk
Dani Watt did not ask Goodell to cancel anything.
She asked a simple question, and Goodell sent O'Reilly out to answer it with logistics, personnel counts, and coordination details instead of facing it himself.
Not one league official, including Goodell, has said the word risk out loud.
That is the tell.
A league that will fine a player for a uniform violation within minutes suddenly needs a week of hedging to explain why it is comfortable sending two teams and their families into a country still clearing riot debris off its streets.
Additional protests were planned for the weekend before kickoff, which means the Steelers and Saints could land in the middle of round two.
Pittsburgh and New Orleans fans who paid real money to fly overseas deserve a straight answer, not a press release built entirely around the word confident.
Dani Watt gave Goodell a chance to explain himself in one sentence.
So far, he has chosen talking points over a real answer.
Her husband's teammates fly into Paris whether the league answers her or not.
A wife asking a hard question in public is not the overreaction here.
