Tom Homan Revealed What Happened to the Migrant Children Biden Lost Track Of

Border Patrol agents lost track of hundreds of thousands of migrant children who crossed the border under Joe Biden.

Now Trump's border czar Tom Homan says his team found most of those children, but not every one of them survived.

Homan just revealed the fate of thousands of migrant children Democrats lost and named his next target too.

Homan Says His Team Found 157,000 of the Missing Kids

Homan sat down for an exclusive interview and laid out numbers that Biden's Department of Homeland Security never wanted to put on paper.

Roughly 490,000 unaccompanied children were smuggled into the country during the Biden administration.

Border Patrol lost track of around 300,000 of them because the Biden administration handed them off to sponsors without verifying who those sponsors actually were.

Homan's teams have now located 157,000 of the missing children.

That leaves roughly 140,000 still unaccounted for.

More than 20 of the children who have been found are dead, from causes Homan listed as natural causes, overdoses, and violence.

Homan said the kids are harder to trace than grown adults, who leave behind mortgages, car loans, and credit card statements agents can follow.

He said sponsors lied to get these kids released, giving fake addresses that traced back to supermarkets, parking lots, and churches, and handing over false identities to avoid scrutiny.

Homan said his teams are now working with local law enforcement nationwide to run welfare checks on children flagged as high risk, going address by address even when the address on file turns out to be fake.

This Is Not the First Time Homan Has Sounded This Alarm

Homan was warning about this exact failure years before he ever took the border czar job back.

Back in 2019, during his first stint running immigration enforcement, Homan pushed Congress to close the loophole that let migrant families and unaccompanied children get released into the country without real oversight.

"This isn't just about enforcement of law but saving lives," Homan said at the time. "As long as Congress won't address the loopholes, people will be put in harm's way."

Congress didn't fix it.

The Biden administration threw the doors open wider instead, and 490,000 children walked through them.

Trump Gave Homan One Job Biden Never Bothered to Do

Homan said the president gave him a short, direct assignment.

"He asked me to do three things: secure the border, run deportation operations, and find these kids," Homan said.

Two of those three are largely done.

The third one is the job nobody in the Biden administration seemed interested in finishing.

Homan has talked about a 9-year-old girl he encountered years ago on the border, sexually assaulted during her journey into the country.

"That little girl's never going to be the same again," Homan said.

That's the stakes he says drive the search for the 140,000 still missing.

Turning 18 doesn't end the danger, Homan said.

"Just because you're 18 and 19 doesn't mean they're not in forced labor or sex trafficking," Homan said.

"We're not giving up," Homan said. "We're going to look at this until the last day of the administration."

Sanctuary Cities Are Next on Homan's List

Homan has already made clear where his agents are headed once the child-recovery operation wraps.

He has vowed to "flood the zone" in sanctuary cities, following the same playbook federal agents used during the Minneapolis crackdown in early 2026.

Homan has said ICE "isn't going anywhere" from the cities that have tried to block cooperation with federal immigration agents.

That means Chicago, New York, and every other sanctuary jurisdiction that built its reputation on shielding illegal immigrants from federal authorities should expect the same surge Minneapolis got.

Democrat mayors built sanctuary policies to score points with their base.

Homan is building a running tally of found and still-missing children to show America what those policies actually cost.

The 140,000 kids still missing are the real price tag of Biden's open border, and Homan is the only person in Washington still trying to collect on it.
