Biden Released a Cuban Illegal Alien and DHS Just Called Her the Miami Menace

The Biden administration released Meliza Campos-Sanchez from Cuba into Miami, Florida.
Miami-Dade police arrested her this month on child abuse and arson charges.
DHS just confirmed she is an illegal alien – and the Instagram video she posted of what she did to her daughters cannot be explained away.
The Miami Menace Biden's Border Sent to a Florida Home
Meliza Campos-Sanchez is a Cuban national who entered the United States under Biden administration immigration policies and was placed in the community without detention.
She was not detained pending processing.
She was not assigned a monitoring program.
She was released.
This month, Miami-Dade police arrested Campos-Sanchez after she was filmed – by herself, on her own phone – pouring hot candle wax onto her young daughters.
She also set fire to her kitchen during the incident.
She posted the footage to Instagram.
Miami-Dade charged her with child abuse and arson.
ICE moved immediately and lodged an immigration detainer against her – the formal federal mechanism that allows immigration authorities to take custody of a person already in local law enforcement hands.
DHS issued a public statement naming her the "Miami Menace" and confirming exactly who she is.
The official DHS statement reads: "ICE has lodged a detainer for this MIAMI MENACE who poured hot wax on her OWN CHILDREN.
Meliza Campos-Sanchez, an illegal alien from Cuba, was RELEASED into our nation by the Biden Administration and has been arrested for child abuse and arson.
We will work with our Florida law enforcement partners to ensure she faces justice."
What Biden's Open Border Produced in the Homes of Innocent Children
The Biden administration's argument for releasing illegal aliens into American communities was compassion.
The theory was that detaining migrants while their cases were processed was inhumane – that the more humane approach was to release them and trust the immigration court system to catch up.
The immigration court system did not catch up.
Between 2021 and 2024, the Biden administration released millions of illegal aliens into the United States – more catch-and-release than at any point in American history.
Most of them are not Meliza Campos-Sanchez.
But some of them are.
DHS under Trump has been methodically documenting who they are.
They documented the Virginia illegal alien arrested for child rape after a sanctuary jurisdiction released him despite an ICE detainer.
They documented the Illinois illegal alien sought for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl while Governor Pritzker's office refused to cooperate with federal authorities.
They documented Meliza Campos-Sanchez in Miami – "RELEASED into our nation by the Biden Administration," as the official DHS statement put it, in capital letters.
Her daughters could not vote on whether that was a compassionate immigration policy.
They were the ones in the room with the candle wax.
What ICE Is Finding in Biden's Open Border Legacy
The pattern here is not complicated.
The Biden administration opened the border, released millions of illegal aliens into American communities, and insisted that the compassionate approach was better than enforcement.
Trump's DHS is now finding the people Biden released and making sure the American public knows their names, their countries of origin, and exactly what the Biden administration's policies produced.
This is deliberate.
Trump's DHS leadership and the ICE directorate have publicly named and shamed illegal aliens arrested for violent crimes in a way that no previous administration has matched – specifically to build the evidentiary case that Biden's open border policy had human consequences that his administration refused to acknowledge.
Campos-Sanchez is now in the federal system.
Her daughters are now in the care of Florida child protective services.
And the video she posted of herself – the evidence she created, uploaded, and broadcast to her own Instagram followers – is now in the hands of prosecutors who did not have to look very hard to find it.
The Biden administration called its border policy compassion.
Ask the children in that Miami apartment whether they felt any.
