Ram Just Opened Orders On the Diesel Truck Biden Tried to Kill

Biden's EPA spent years writing a rule built to regulate the diesel truck out of existence.
That rule just got gutted, and Ram wasted no time.
Orders just opened on the truck it was never supposed to build.
The Truck Biden's Rules Were Built to Bury
None of this should have been possible under the emissions rules Biden's EPA was writing for heavy-duty diesel trucks starting with the 2027 model year.
Manufacturers like Isuzu already had commercial diesel production grinding to a halt because of those Biden-era NOx rules, unable to meet the compliance schedule on time.
Ram built straight into that deadline anyway, and orders opened on the 2027 Power Wagon this week.
The truck runs a 6.7-liter Cummins High-Output inline-six turbo diesel putting out 430 horsepower and 1,075 lb-ft of torque.
It can tow 19,630 pounds and haul a 2,930-pound payload, with locking front and rear differentials and 34-inch Goodyear off-road tires built to actually go somewhere.
Trucks land at dealerships this quarter, starting at $89,560.

Trump's EPA Ripped Up the Rulebook Truckers Were Drowning In
Trump's EPA proposed rolling back the heavy-duty truck emissions regulations this July, specifically targeting the diesel exhaust fluid sensor mandates that were choking truckers with cost and complexity.
The agency says scrapping those DEF deratement rules alone saves American truckers $12 billion.
Fox News reported the Biden-era rule had been accused of strangling truckers and squeezing ordinary Americans on freight costs for years before Trump's EPA finally put it on the chopping block.
A company doesn't spend the engineering money to launch a new diesel powertrain in a market it thinks is about to get regulated out of existence.
Ram is betting on diesel because Trump's Washington finally stopped betting against it.
Diesel Never Died, Washington Just Tried to Bury It
Every time a Democrat administration gets a hold of the EPA, heavy-duty diesel trucks become the villain, and every time, the trucks come roaring back the moment the rules change hands.
The same 2027 model-year deadline that was supposed to strangle diesel production is the model year Ram chose to launch its most capable Power Wagon yet.
That's not a coincidence – that's an industry that knows exactly which administration is actually listening to the people who drive these trucks for a living.
Truckers who move the freight this country runs on were never asking Washington for a cleaner truck they couldn't afford to keep running.
They wanted the regulatory hostility to stop, and Trump's EPA just handed them $12 billion in relief and a new Cummins diesel to prove the message got through.
