Vance backed the executive order from the start and called the ruling a mistake.

Obama had a legal argument sitting right there.

Instead he reached for Vance's wife and three kids.

Usha Vance is due to have a fourth child within weeks.

A Familiar Playbook Against Usha Vance

This is not the first time the left has used Usha Vance as a weapon against her husband.

MSNBC's Jen Psaki mocked the second lady in 2025, joking she needed saving from J.D. Vance himself.

Vance called those comments "disgraceful" and defended his wife directly to reporters in Israel.

A liberal magazine writer separately suggested Usha's pregnancy was timed for political advantage.

Now a former president has joined in, borrowing language tied to a genocidal regime to score a point.

Democrats spent a decade lecturing the country that spouses stay off-limits in political combat.

Obama himself benefited from that unwritten rule for eight years in the White House.

He is tearing it up now that Usha Vance is the one standing next to a Republican.

Obama is not making a legal argument, he is dressing up a smear as a history lesson.

Calling a sitting vice president's citizenship views "blood and soil" puts Vance in the same sentence as the Nazi party, and Obama knows exactly what that phrase means.

That is not truth-telling, that is a smear job with better lighting, delivered on a friendly podcast with Gladwell nodding along.

Obama has built a net worth near seventy million dollars since leaving office, with waterfront homes in Martha's Vineyard and Hawaii most Americans will never afford.

He does not lecture himself about hypocrisy over that fortune, only over Usha Vance's citizenship.

Usha Vance never said a word to invite this fight, yet Obama treated her biography like evidence against the husband she chose.

The Supreme Court already settled the legal question back in June, so Obama did not need facts, he needed a villain.
