Most of Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees have received high marks from conservatives and liberty activists.

But one nomination is receiving some serious backlash.

And conservative opposition to this Trump nominee continues to grow as more appalling information comes out.

Massive lobbying effort underway to derail Trump’s Labor pick

The powerful National Right to Work Committee has been leading the fight against the union boss favorite in what could be a major showdown for the Trump pick.

Currently, the efforts are focused on the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee where her nomination will be voted on first.

Conservative groups are especially urging committee members Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), and Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) to oppose the nomination.

These three Senators claim to support Right to Work and are all self-described pro-lifers.

Right to Work has been running a massive campaign in those three states, and others, to try and stop Chavez-DeRemer’s nomination due to her long track record of being a union boss lackey.

Even pro-lifers are coming out against the pick.

Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins recently called the choice of former Oregon Congresswoman Lori Chavez-DeRemer “extremely disappointing” as a pick for President Trump’s Secretary of Labor.

And the news that Chavez-DeRemer worked for Planned Parenthood, plus her paltry C rating from SFLAction when she was in Congress, makes her a key target for conservatives.

As SFLAction pointed out, they oppose her not just for her work at Planned Parenthood, but also for “her efforts – or lack thereof – in Congress.”

“Former U.S. Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer’s record on defending Life reflects her resume. Not only did she once work for Planned Parenthood, but she also did very little work to show that her views have changed. For this reason, SFLAction calls for a better appointment to this key agency,” said Students for Life Action’s Kristan Hawkins. “The Pro-Life Generation Report Card scores for vision as well as votes, and there was too little vision for how to Make America Pro-Life Again.”

Department of Labor is a key part of the abortion lobby’s efforts to force abortion on Americans

While the Department of Labor might not seem to be a major player in the abortion issue, the agency actually has a large impact on workplace practices like mandates demanding that abortion be accommodated.

For example, during the Biden-Harris Administration, the Pregnant Worker’s Fairness Act came under attack to change accommodations for pregnancy to include accommodations for abortion.

Other laws like The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) have also been used to force abortion policy into the workplace.

And on labor policy, Chavez-DeRemer is about as bad as they come.

Mark Mix, President of the National Right to Work Committee, is leading the fight against her and recently penned an alert to President Trump outlining the worst of Chavez-DeRemer’s actions.

He called on Trump to pick a better candidate for the post.

“There are only three Republican elected officials who cosponsored legislation that would end every state Right to Work law in the country, and it is appalling that one of them would seek a job as your Secretary of Labor,” Mix wrote.

“Lori Chavez-DeRemer should have no place in the Trump Administration.  I urge you in the strongest possible terms not to nominate her for Secretary of Labor,” Mix continued.

The battle is reaching a fever pitch, and conservatives are calling on Senators Tuberville, Cassidy, and Mullin to vote against Chavez-DeRemer and stand for life and worker freedom.
