Chuck Schumer will slam the panic button over this jaw-dropping poll result
Chuck Schumer’s job is to lead the Democrat Party out of the wilderness.
But Schumer got some bad news.
And now Chuck Schumer will slam the panic button over this jaw-dropping poll result.
The Democrat opposition to Donald Trump is dazed and in disarray.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer hasn’t been able to mount effective opposition to Donald Trump’s nominees and agenda because Trump is coming at them 800 miles an hour from every direction.
Trump named his cabinet nominees in record time and signed more than 300 executive orders in his first week as President.
And in another sign that this isn’t 2017 anymore, Donald Trump continues to gain popularity.
CNN data analyst Harry Enten broke down Donald Trump’s surging popularity in a segment with host Kate Bolduan.
“Look, the American people really like what they’re seeing, at least compared to where Donald Trump started eight years ago, right?” Enten began.
Enten then pulled up a 2017 Reuters/Ipsos poll showing Trump being the first President to enter office with underwater approval ratings.
“This is Reuters/Ipsos, it’s among adults. It was taken the first few days of this administration. Look here, back in January 2017, Donald Trump became the first president in history to start his presidency with a net negative approval rating,” Enten stated.
Of course in 2017, Trump took office in the face of a smear campaign led by Hillary Clinton and the media falsely claiming he was an illegitimate President because of the Russia collusion hoax and the fact that he didn’t win the popular vote.
Enten made note of how Trump’s approval rating eight years later according to Reuters/Ipsos shot up nearly double digits.
“That’s up nine points,” Enten exclaimed. “To borrow a Donald Trump phrase, this is big league!”
Enten said Americans were happy thus far with the Trump Presidency.
“This is a sign that the American people – at least initially – like what they’re seeing. And so you see right here, more Americans approve of Donald Trump’s job than disapprove. And that is very much, very much unlike what we saw eight years ago,” Enten continued.
Trump is keeping his campaign promises at breakneck speed.
Mass deportations are underway.
Trump pardoned the pro-life activists Joe Biden held hostage as well as more than 1,500 January 6 defendants.
Trump signed executive orders banning woke ideology in government and pulling federal funding from programs that facilitate the chemical castration and mutilation of children in transgender surgeries.
Trump also proved pivotal in negotiating a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas that saw hostages freed.
The totality of Trump’s actions – which the American people elected him to take – left Enten remarking that Trump 2.0 was a much more potent political force than Trump 1.0.
“So, Donald Trump isn’t just in a better position than he was eight years ago at this point. He’s in a better position than he was at any point during his entire first term. Things have very much turned around. This is a very different Donald Trump. He’s leading a very different administration the way he’s attacking things, and the American public is very much more in line with him than they were at any point during his entire first term,” Enten concluded.
