Donald Trump pulled off one of the greatest political comebacks in American history during the 2024 election.
From the moment he defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016, Donald Trump has faced one witch hunt after another in an effort to keep him from winning a second term.
They smeared him as a “racist,” a “sexist,” a “Nazi,” and repeatedly claimed he posed a “dangerous threat to America.”
This led to a crazed man attempting to kill Donald Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13.
But Donald Trump turned his head at the last second and caused the bullet to graze his ear instead of penetrate his temple.
Donald Trump’s courage under fire – he jumped to his feet, pumped his fist, and yelled “Fight! Fight! Fight!” – changed the dynamics of the race and put him on the path to a landslide victory.
Chris Cuomo spent years on CNN as a Trump-hating leftist.
But Cuomo was fired in 2021 and emerged as a reporter on Newsnation.
After the Butler assassination, Cuomo even called Donald Trump to check in on the President-elect.
In a recent episode of his program, Cuomo dropped a truth bomb on Democrats and the media about their reaction to the assassination attempts.
He brought up how the media “downplayed” Trump getting shot.
“What I found completely appalling and outrageous was how unimpressed lefties were by Trump getting shot in the head,” Cuomo said in a video posted to his YouTube channel.
Cuomo explained how the Left downplayed the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania by reporting that Trump only “nicked his ear.”
“You get nicked in the ear by a bullet and tell me that it’s no big deal,” Cuomo said. “I’m good, I’m good,” he continued, before adding “nah, nah, that’s crazy.”
But Butler was only the first assassination attempt against Trump.
He was also the target of an assassin in September as he played a round of golf.
After he ripped the media for downplaying the assassination attempts on Trump, Cuomo then explained how different the reporting would have been if it happened to Kamala Harris.
“If that had happened to Harris, you guys would have talked about it for three days nonstop about how we’re in helter-skelter mode or whatever it is,” Cuomo said. “And then you call me a bigot for saying that this is why you lost the election.”
According to Cuomo, this behavior cost the Democrats the election.
“That’s exactly why you lost the election,” he said. “You are out of touch,” he continued. “You lost the plot about how people feel in the majority – that’s what you did.”
Cuomo specifically pointed out how the media claimed that Trump only hit his head on the teleprompter and did not take a bullet to the ear.
This was a lie, as Cuomo noted.
“And that was a perfect example of it,” he said. “That situation?,” he continued. “Well, I think it was just a teleprompter.”
“You would have never assessed it that way if you didn’t wish the guy had died,” he concluded.
Of course, Cuomo used to be one of the worst Trump haters in the media before CNN fired him in 2021.
And if he would have still been at CNN during the Butler shooting, he would have also downplayed the assassination attempt.
