John Fetterman begged Democrats to quit this fight against Donald Trump
No one ever expected John Fetterman to emerge as a voice of reason for Democrats.
But that’s where the Left is at the moment.
And John Fetterman begged Democrats to quit this fight against Donald Trump.
John Fetterman’s advice to Democrats
The second after the media called the 2016 election for Donald Trump Democrats began organizing their resistance.
On the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration leftist militias rioted in D.C.
The Washington Post published articles about impeaching Donald Trump.
And the Russia collusion hoax was well under way.
The aftermath of the 2020 election is completely different.
Democrats stumbled around in a daze not knowing what hit them after Donald Trump scored a landslide victory over Kamala Harris.
There were no riots in the streets.
But Democrat Governors like J. B. Pritzker of Illinois and Gavin Newsom of California pledged to wage total war on the new Trump administration while also promising resistance at every turn to Trump’s planned mass deportations of illegal aliens.
“You come for my people, you come through me,” Pritzker told reporters.
Newsom announced a special session of the California legislature writing on social media, “Donald Trump has a playbook. They wrote it out for us. 922 pages. With 270 specific points he has publicly supported. If our American values and freedoms are attacked, we will not stand idly by.”
John Fetterman told these Democrats to back down.
Fetterman told reporters that Democrats melting down over Trump being President again were driving themselves crazy over nothing because Trump isn’t even in office yet.
“And that’s the thing. If you’re already exhausted, freaking out, and it’s not even Thanksgiving, then you really ought to pace yourselves. Because he hasn’t even been inaugurated yet,” Fetterman began.
Fetterman said Democrats especially needed to calm down over Trump’s cabinet nominations, as Fetterman claimed Trump nominated America First fighters like Matt Gaetz and Tulsi Gabbard specifically to provoke the Left.
“So you really have to chill out, and you’re going to have to be more discerning or discriminate on what’s going to freak you out, or what’s just trolling,” Fetterman continued. “Because it’s not the weather, it’s the climate now for the next four years.”
Fetterman noted that Democrats lecturing Americans about how Donald Trump was a fascist threatening to end democracy proved to be a losing strategy for Kamala Harris.
And Democrats would be doubling down on failure if they reacted to Donald Trump’s cabinet picks by berating the American people about how these selections meant Trump intended to burn down the American system of government.
“That’s got to be candy for him [Trump] to have and watch everybody get triggered. I’ve said this before, it’s like, clutch those pearls harder and scold louder, that’s not going to win,” Fetterman concluded. “And that’s been demonstrated in this cycle.”
