Donald Trump nominated Matt Gaetz to be Attorney General.

Battlelines are being drawn.

Elon Musk delivered an ultimatum about Matt Gaetz that shook the swamp to the core.

Donald Trump is determined to gut the deep state in his second term.

Target one was the Justice Department.

The weaponized justice systems tried to impeach Trump and drive him from office based on hoaxes, steal all of Donald Trump’s money, seize his property, and then throw him in prison until he dies.

That’s why Donald Trump nominated Matt Gaetz as his Attorney General.

“Trump is going to bring in somebody to burn down the DOJ from the inside and Matt is going to do that,” a source CNN’s Mark Preston.

A source used ever more colorful language in describing how Trump intended Gaetz to take a meat cleaver to the Department of Justice’s career bureaucracy.

“None of the attorneys had what Trump wants, and they didn’t talk like Gaetz,” the Trump advisor told Caputo. “Everyone else looked at AG as if they were applying for a judicial appointment. They talked about their vaunted legal theories and constitutional bullshit. Gaetz was the only one who said, ‘Yeah, I’ll go over there and start cuttin’ f**** heads.’”

RINOs began to line up in opposition to Gaetz.

Lisa Murkowski, who voted against Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court, falsely claimed Gaetz wasn’t “serious.”

“I don’t think it’s a serious nomination for the attorney general. That’s Lisa Murkowski’s view,” Murkowski told reporters. “We need to have a serious attorney general. And I’m looking forward to the opportunity to consider somebody that is serious. This one was not on my bingo card.”

RINO Texas Senator John Cornyn – who wrote Joe Biden’s red flag confiscation bill – recycled the information top the FBI and Department of Justice ran against Gaetz to try and drive him out of Congress using flimsy allegations that not even Merrick Garland could turn into criminal charges.

“I can’t understand any situation under which we would deny ourselves access to full and complete information. Part of this is not only to determine fitness for the nominee, it’s also to protect the president. Because there may be information that the investigation would find forthcoming that would ultimately be an embarrassment to the president. So this is for all of the above reasons, we need to get access to everything,” Cornyn added.

The MAGA backlash

Elon Musk reportedly told Republicans he would personally fund a primary challenge to anyone who opposed Trump’s agenda.

“A senator told me that the rumor on the Hill is that Elon Musk is threatening to fund a primary challenge to any House Republican who doesn’t fall in line with Trump’s agenda,” documentary filmmaker Laura Windsor wrote on X.

Trump supporter and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk warned any Republican who votes against Gaetz and also voted for Garland  would also face a primary challenge.

“If you voted for Garland and won’t vote for Gaetz, you will face an immediate primary challenge,” Kirk posted on X.

Finally, pro-Trump Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville took the unprecedented step of supporting primary challenges against his own colleagues if they opposed Gaetz.

“I’ve already seen where a couple of them say I’m not voting for him. Wait a minute. You are not the United States of America. You have one vote in the U.S. Senate. You did not get elected president. Vote with President Trump. This is the last chance we’re going to have of saving this country. And if you want to get in the way, fine. But we’re going to try to get you out of the Senate, too, if you try to do that,” Tuberville declared.
