Megyn Kelly called out these celebrities for one disgusting campaign tactic
The 2024 election may be in the books.
But the political world is still sifting through the rubble to figure out why Kamala Harris lost so badly.
And Megyn Kelly called out these celebrities for one disgusting campaign tactic.
Megyn Kelly calls out Kamala Harris for buying celebrity endorsements
Kamala Harris’ campaign raised $1 billion in 107 days.
Yet the campaign still ended up $20 million in debt.
That level of fiscal irresponsibility is one sign the American people made the right move in picking Donald Trump over Kamala Harris to be the next President.
The campaign’s final report to the Federal Election Commission provided some clues about how the Kamala Harris campaign blew so much money.
Campaign expenditure reports showed Kamala Harris’ campaign paid Oprah’s production company $1 million for her appearance at a rally in Pennsylvania, where Oprah falsely claimed if Donald Trump won there would be no more elections in America.
The campaign also spent $20 million paying pop stars to play concerts at Kamala rallies.
“The campaign had seven swing-state concerts on Monday, the report noted, including performances by Jon Bon Jovi in Detroit, Christina Aguilera in Las Vegas, Katy Perry in Pittsburgh and Lady Gaga in Philadelphia, and a 2 Chainz performance at a rally three days before the election in Atlanta,” the New York Post reported.
Megyn Kelly was aghast at this wasteful spending.
Kelly tore into Kamala Harris for buying endorsements and wondered if other Hollywood celebrities who appeared at Kamala rallies also received payola.
“Totally feckless. But by the way, did JLo get a payment for that? Did Chris Rock get a payment for that? Did anybody get paid for these endorsements that we were led to believe were just completely organic? I mean, do we really care? Because they’re all losers. They lost badly and have been rendered utterly powerless and feckless in the eyes of the electorate. Nobody will be asking for their endorsement again. No one who is smart. I mean, no one who wants to win,” Kelly told listeners of her podcast.
Kamala Harris’ closing message to the American people amounted to “look how many celebrity friends I have.”
But appearances by Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin failed to sway voters.
Americans saw through the Hollywood glitz and understood that Kamala Harris cloaked herself in celebrity to hide the fact that she caused the inflation and border crisis while having no plan on how to dig the country out of the mess she made.
“Money can’t buy you love or a good candidate,” Republican political strategist Brad Todd said in an interview with the Washington Examiner.
“Advertising is a pretty important source of information for swing voters,” Todd added. “It no doubt matters, but it’s not enough. It doesn’t matter if you have the wrong message and it’s not delivered in a compelling way. What her campaign was missing was any effort to break with the unpopular administration she has been a part of.”
There have been examples of obscene campaign spending and wastes of donor money.
But nothing quite like Kamala Harris’ campaign ending up in debt because it paid for utterly useless celebrity endorsements.
