Fani Willis faced this awful decision after she got one message from Bill Barr
Fani Willis is holding out hope about her witch hunt against Donald Trump.
But completing her mission of trying to throw him in jail got more complicated.
And Fani Willis faced this awful decision after she got one message from Bill Barr.
A call to end the witch hunts against Donald Trump
Former President Donald Trump had the biggest victory for a Republican since 1988 when he trounced Vice President Kamala Harris.
He swept all seven of the battleground states on his way to becoming the first Republican since 2004 to win the popular vote.
The majority of the country voted to have Trump return to the White House.
But the former President is still facing some of the lawfare from Democrat prosecutors.
Trump’s former Attorney General Bill Barr told Fox News Digital that the public rendered a verdict on Donald Trump on Election Day.
He told the prosecutors with cases against Trump to throw in the towel for the good of the country.
“The American people have rendered their verdict on President Trump, and decisively chosen him to lead the country for the next four years,” Barr said. “They did that with full knowledge of the claims against him by prosecutors around the country and I think Attorney General Garland and the state prosecutors should respect the people’s decision and dismiss the cases against President Trump now.”
Barr noted that many of the legal theories in these cases were “greatly weakened by a series of court decisions.”
He added the claims made by the Democrat prosecutors were tried in the court of public opinion and were rejected by the public.
Democrat prosecutors face an uncertain future with their witch hunts
The Justice Department has a longtime policy of not prosecuting cases against a sitting President.
Special Counsel Jack Smith’s sham criminal cases against Trump over January 6 and mishandling classified documents are reportedly going to be wound down by the Justice Department.
Trump vowed to fire Smith as soon as he was inaugurated in January.
“We got immunity at the Supreme Court,” Trump told radio host Hugh Hewitt. “It’s so easy. I would fire [Smith] within two seconds. He’ll be one of the first things addressed.”
Democrat Judge Juan Merchan is scheduled to sentence Trump at the end of November for the sham criminal case that which he was convicted of 34 phony felonies in a Manhattan kangaroo court.
Merchan is reportedly considering throwing out the charges after Trump won the election.
Barr predicted that the Manhattan case would likely get thrown out on appeal.
“That case is rife with legal abuse and error,” Barr said. “If it were continued to be litigated it would ultimately be overturned, but we shouldn’t put up with that kind of distraction. And I think the right thing to do would be for the prosecutors to dismiss the case.”
The fate of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ case against Trump is in the hands of the Georgia Court of Appeals who will hear an appeal by the President-elect’s legal team to have her disqualified.
Willis’ case is hanging by a thread.
Now, she’ll have to consider if it’s worth trying to take down a sitting President.
