The clock is ticking on Joe Biden’s time in the White House.

He’s created problems that will outlast his time as President.

And Joe Biden has one nasty surprise in store to cement his awful legacy.

Americans suffer from soaring energy prices under Joe Biden

President Joe Biden’s four years in office will forever be defined by the cost of living crisis that he created for Americans.

The top political priority for the Biden-Harris administration has been pushing Green New Deal policies to reduce carbon emissions.

Biden spent hundreds of billions of dollars trying to boost the green energy industry while simultaneously waging war against fossil fuel production.

Strict regulations on the power industry were designed to shut down reliable sources of electricity like natural gas and coal for solar and wind energy.

A study from the Energy Alliance found that the wholesale price of electricity increased by 72% during the first three years of the Biden Presidency.

That resulted in the retail price paid by consumers jumping by 23% during that time span.

Increases in the wholesale cost of electricity are eventually passed along to consumers with price increases.

Electric prices increased the most in states like New York and California which have gone all in on trying to switch to wind and solar power.

Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act – a slush fund for Green New Deal policies – tripled the amount of subsidies to the green energy industry to more than $24 billion per year.

The unreliable nature of green energy results in higher prices paid by consumers.

“For solar to serve as the backbone of a grid, it needs to be backed with storage. That can come in the form of batteries, hydrogen, or pumped hydro. All of these are expensive; none of them scale. Storing a kilowatt-hour of electricity in a chemical battery costs an order of magnitude more than just generating it in a nuclear power plant,” Quico Toro and Guido Núñez-Mujica wrote.

But the country has an opportunity to chip away at the green energy scheme that Biden put in place.

Donald Trump vows to end Biden’s Green New Deal policies

Former President Donald Trump has made lowering energy prices the centerpiece of his plan to lower prices.

“We will achieve energy independence,” Trump told the crowd during a rally at Madison Square Garden. “We’re gonna drill, baby, drill. And I will terminate the green new scam and will cut your energy prices in half, 50 percent, within one year from Jan. 20.”

Trump has vowed to repeal the Green New Deal policies that Biden put in place when he returns to the White House in January.

Biden has tried to prop industries like wind and solar energy that couldn’t survive on their own without massive federal subsidies.

A Trump Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) can repeal regulations on power companies designed to force coal and natural gas-fired power plants to close.

Energy production accounts for about 15% of the gross domestic product (GDP).

Getting rid of the Biden green energy agenda will lower prices for inflation-weary consumers.
