Geraldo Rivera endorses Kamala Harris
Geraldo Rivera spent decades at Fox News as a correspondent and later as a co-host of The Five.
Now Rivera is one of Vice President Kamala Harris’ biggest supporters.
In a post on social media, Rivera endorsed Kamala calling former President Trump a “sore loser.”
Rivera wrote that the race between Trump and Kamala remained a tossup despite the unprecedented nature of the 2024 Election.
“With three weeks to go until Election Day, Donald J. Trump stands a reasonable chance of becoming the 47th President of the United States. Despite assassination attempts, impeachments, special counsels, felony convictions and hundreds of millions in civil penalties, most polls show his race against V.P. Kamala Harris is too close to call,” Rivera added.
What Rivera left out of his rant is that the criminal indictments, impeachments, and civil fines Trump faces are all political machinations brought by the Left because Democrats didn’t think they could beat Trump fair and square at the ballot box.
Rivera omitted those facts from his post because it undercut the rest of his anti-Trump screed.
Geraldo Rivera pushes the big lie
Rivera’s main reason for endorsing Kamala Harris is the lie Democrats tell about January 6.
The Left created a fake story about how Trump summoned a mob to Washington, D.C. and incited an insurrection to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power.
“In furtherance of that Big Lie, on January 6, 2021, Trump incited and unleashed the violent attack on the center of democracy, the U.S. Capitol for which he was Impeached. As his followers trashed that sacred space, he was on the phone urging Vice President Mike Pence essentially to overturn the will of the American people. Pence refused to put Trump ahead of the Constitution,” Rivera added.
Rivera claimed that even though Trump supporters planned to back him because they support his policies he’s a threat to the Constitution.
“Trump stabbed the Constitution in the back. Maybe you are inclined to vote for the former president anyway, because he says he will cut your taxes or build the border wall or pull out of NATO or put tariffs on China,” Rivera continued.
Rivera didn’t address the candidate threatening to create an actual Constitutional crisis.
That would be Kamala due to her endorsement of a court packing scheme that would upend the nation’s constitutional order.
“Former President Trump is a sore loser who cannot be trusted to honor the Constitution. That is why I am voting for Kamala Harris to be our 47th President,” Rivera concluded.
