Donald Trump traveled to New York for a sold-out rally at Madison Square Garden.

Tim Walz joined Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez online to play games and talk politics.

And Tim Walz promised Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez one promotion that put Nancy Pelosi’s jaw on the floor.

The final days of a hotly contested election

The final sprint to Election Day is on.

And the latest polling data shows former President Donald Trump has the wind at his back in the final stretch of the race.

According to the RealClearPolitics polling average, Trump is now leading Vice President Kamala Harris at the national level and in all seven of the swing states that will determine the election.

While most Americans are focused on the Presidential race, there are also critical battles for control of the House and Senate.

Democrats currently hold a slim 51 to 49 majority in the Senate, but right now it looks like Republicans are going to take back the upper chamber.

Republicans are defending a razor-thin majority in the House.

Polls show control of the House will come down to the wire.

In FiveThirtyEight’s election forecast, Republicans currently win control of the House in 53 out of 100 simulations.

Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) stepped down from her leadership position when Republicans took control of the House in 2022.

Since 2007, Pelosi has been the Speaker whenever Democrats had the majority – from 2007 to 2011 and again from 2019 to 2023.

If Democrats take back the House, this means they would elect a Speaker other than Pelosi for the first time since the 1990s.

Tim Walz floats a new job for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Representative Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) is currently the House Minority Leader for the Democrat Party.

But Minnesota Governor Tim Walz seems to have another individual in mind for Speaker if Democrats take back the House.

Walz joined Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on the streaming platform Twitch to play video games to appeal to young male voters.

“Walz joined the stream after 30 minutes, wearing a camouflage Minnesota Vikings hat, prior to attending a campaign rally in Nevada,” the New York Post reported. “The duo wasted no time in throwing jabs at former President Donald Trump and emphasized the importance of Democrats taking control of the House and keeping majority control of the Senate.”

Ocasio-Cortez said she doesn’t agree with Democrats on every issue and admitted that she represents the far-Left wing of the Party.

“We don’t all share the same politics, we don’t all share the same views, but the need to defeat Trump this year has been my number one priority,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

Walz and Ocasio-Cortez also discussed their support for nuking the Senate filibuster.

“The Senate has their own things,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “They have, kinda their ‘norms and their customs,’ but in order.”

Walz interrupted with “Maybe, maybe, some of those norms, I’m just gonna say I don’t know where you stand, but I’m guessing you and I are probably the same on the filibuster?”

“Oh yeah, we gotta get rid of that thing,” Ocasio-Cortez shot back.

But it was what he promised Ocasio-Cortez if Vice President Kamala Harris won the Presidency that put jaws on the floor.

“We’re gonna win this election,” Walz said. “We’re gonna make you put a gavel in your hand in the House.”

“I think for your listeners to understand, when you’re in the House of Representatives, whoever has the gavel, that’s pretty much everything, makes the decision,” Walz added. “So if you want folks who actually have a to-do list and want to get it done, stay engaged.”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is one of the most left-wing Democrats in Congress.

She is the leader of the far-left “Squad” and sponsored the Green New Deal.

And this is who Tim Walz and Kamala Harris want to see as Speaker of the House next year.
