“The View” is about to make one unthinkable change in 2025

The View is one of the many talk show programs re-examining its coverage and role in the political landscape following Donald Trump’s rout over Kamala Harris.

Nothing is off the table in the attempt to re-invent the show to remain relevant in the Trump era.

And The View is about to make one unthinkable change in 2025.

ABC considering hiring more pro-Trump voices

ABC rigged a Presidential debate against Donald Trump.

Moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis tilted the event in Kamala Harris’ favor by incorrectly interjecting with so-called “fact-checks” against Donald Trump on multiple occasions.

ABC is also home to deranged Trump-haters George Stephanopoulos and Jonathan Karl.

The “Republicans” ABC hires as contributors are always Never-Trump RINOs like former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Now ABC is among the many news organizations facing reckoning after misleading the public during the 2024 election by focusing on irrelevant stories like a comedian’s joke about Puerto Rico, what Trump said about Haitian migrants in Ohio, or Trump’s  comments on Liz Cheney, and missing the massive pro-Trump groundswell building from coast to coast.

ABC executives see polls showing record low trust in the media and the network held high-level meetings about adding more pro-Trump voices to the roster of contributors.

The New York Post reported that “ABC News Group President Debra O’Connell and her recently elevated boss of ABC News Almin Karamehmedovic held the intense sit-downs with executive producers of the network’s various shows and other senior editorial leaders, sources said.”

The View under fire

No show at ABC is under more scrutiny than The View, where one source told ABC that there will be major changes to the show including hiring a pro-Trump panelist.

The View is facing pressure from higher-ups,” the source revealed. “Viewers can expect some major changes including bringing in new panelists that can bring in a pro-Trump perspective.”

The View employs two supposedly “Republican” contributors – Alyssa Farrah Griffin and Ana Navarro – yet the entire cast endorsed Kamala Harris, an untenable position for the show in a country where Donald Trump won both the popular vote and Electoral College.

“Everyone on The View endorsed Kamala Harris. They lost. They are out of touch with America,” the source added.

At a time of cord-cutting and shrinking TV viewership for everything except live sports, ABC brass knows they can’t write off half the country who supported Trump.

“For a show about different perspectives, The View doesn’t seem to have any when it comes to Trump. ABC bosses don’t want to alienate the pro-Trump demographic,” the source continued.

And while The View will see pro-Trump voices added to the program, that is also apparently a network-wide mandate as executives realize if ABC News more broadly is to survive in this environment it can’t exist in a liberal bubble.

“We are trying to sort out how we cover the next 4 years when everyone inside ABC News is on one side,” a source familiar with ABC’s thinking told the Post.
