Donald Trump’s been the victim of a nine-year-long smear campaign.

But this might be the bottom of the barrel.

And the liberal media crossed an ugly line with the attack on Donald Trump.

Media tries to claim Trump’s campaign beat up an official at Arlington National Cemetery

Former President Donald Trump attended a wreath-laying ceremony on the third anniversary of the terrorist attack on the Kabul airport that killed 13 brave service members.

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris sent those troops to their death due to their botched plan to withdraw from Afghanistan.

Since then, they have tried to pretend this never happened as neither one has spoken the names of the fallen in public.

But the media once again tried to make Trump the story when the real news item was the fact that Kamala Harris and Joe Biden refused to acknowledge the consequences of their bungled plan to get out of Afghanistan.

National Public Radio claimed a cemetery official tried to stop Trump from filming himself at the wreath-laying ceremony and Trump’s boorish staff beat up a hero that helps preserve the memory and dignity of America’s fallen.

“Two members of Donald Trump’s campaign staff had a verbal and physical altercation Monday with an official at Arlington National Cemetery, where the former president participated in a wreath-laying ceremony,” National Public Radio’s Quil Lawrence and Tom Bowman reported.

Media once again exaggerates

The Trump campaign released two statements slamming the story and blaming the incident on an unhinged individual.

“The fact is that a private photographer was permitted on the premises and for whatever reason an unnamed individual, clearly suffering from a mental health episode, decided to physically block members of President Trump’s team during a very solemn ceremony,” Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung’s statement read.

Trump campaign senior advisor Chris LaCivita – a veteran – called the individual who accosted Trump and the Gold Star families “a disgrace and does not deserve to represent the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery.”

The media narrative was blown up by a statement from the Gold Star families defending President Trump and making it clear he was their guest.

“We would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to President Donald J. Trump for his presence at the recent section 60 gathering, honoring our children and their fallen brothers and sisters,” the statement began.

The Gold Star families praised President Trump for how he conducted himself at the ceremony and for honoring their children’s sacrifice.

“On the three-year anniversary of the Abbey Gate Bombing, the president and his team conducted themselves with nothing but the utmost respect and dignity for all of our service members, especially our beloved children,” the statement continued.

The Gold Star families explained that they invited President Trump to accompany them to the wreath-laying ceremony and asked Trump’s videographer and photographer to document the event.

“We had given our approval for President Trump’s official videographer and photographer to attend the event, ensuring these sacred moments of remembrance were respectfully captured and so we can cherish these memories forever. We are deeply grateful to the president for taking the time to honor our children and for standing alongside us in our grief, offering his unwavering support during such a difficult time. His compassion and respect meant more than words can express.”

The Afghanistan withdrawal is a political and moral weak point for the Biden-Harris administration.

But rather than report the real story because it would hurt Kamala Harris, the media invented yet another fake story to try and damage Donald Trump.
