Former First Lady Melania Trump announced to the world that she supports unrestricted abortion-on-demand in one of the black-and-white video teases she’s been posting to social media to promote the release of her memoir Melania.
In the video, she falsely claimed that individual freedom only extended to women terminating the life of an unborn baby.
“Individual freedom is a fundamental principle that I safeguard,” Melania stated.
Melania then declared there could be “room for compromise” on abortion on demand.
“Without a doubt, there is no room for compromise when it comes to this essential right that all women possess from birth,” Melania claimed.
She again doubled down on the false claim that abortion is freedom.
“What does my body my choice really mean?” Trump concluded.

Melania Trump’s video doubles down on an excerpt from the book where she offered a full-throated defense of abortion couching the act of ending a baby’s life in terms of the freedom of a woman getting to live how she chooses.
“It is imperative to guarantee that women have autonomy in deciding their preference of having children, based on their own convictions, free from any intervention or pressure from the government,” Melania wrote.
“Why should anyone other than the woman herself have the power to determine what she does with her own body? A woman’s fundamental right of individual liberty, to her own life, grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she wishes,” Melania added.
Melania Trump’s rhetoric sounds familiar
Over on CNN, the panelists noted that Melania’s babbling about how abortion is a fundamental freedom sounded a lot like Vice President Kamala Harris.
Kamala’s Presidential announcement video heavily leaned into her support for abortion-on-demand while hip-hop star Beyonce’s “Freedom” song played in the background.
Panelist and left-wing commentator Van Jones even went so far as to joke that Melania Trump sounded like she was about to see herself up on stage with Kamala at a campaign event.
“Beyonce music could have been in the background talking about freedom. But hey, listen, you got Cheney coming out today. Maybe Melania comes out tomorrow with Kamala Harris! It can happen!” Jones exclaimed.
Jones admitted he’s never seen anything like this where the wife of a candidate went rogue and came out in public disagreement with the stated position of her husband and his party and wondered if there was either a bid to sell books or some kind of 4D chess maneuver to soften Trump’s image with pro-abortion women in the suburbs.
“But this is bizarre. I don’t think you’ve ever seen in the history of American politics a former First Lady or the spouse of a candidate come out with a book and a video saying, I don’t agree with my husband’s party on a key issue. It’s never happened before, ever,” Jones stated.
