Attorney General Merrick Garland’s absurd speech to Justice Department employees
In a speech to Justice Department employees, Attorney General Merrick Garland declared that the DOJ should never “be used as a political weapon.”
This sounded like an absurd claim coming from Garland of all people.
He proved that was the case when he complained about “dangerous falsehoods” and “conspiracy theories” promoted by former President Donald Trump and his supporters.
Former Representative Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) was both appalled and amused at Garland’s speech during her interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
Gabbard – a former Democrat who left the party and endorsed former President Donald Trump – said if Garland wanted to end the weaponization of the Justice Department he should look inside his own house.
She told Ingraham that the day after she criticized Vice President Kamala Harris the Biden-Harris administration put her on a secret terror watch list.
“I would tell Merrick Garland today, if you are serious about the words you have just delivered to the American people, why don’t you start by investigating some of your own federal agencies, like the Department of Homeland Security and TSA [Transportation Security Administration], and ask them why, after one day, the very next day after I called out Kamala Harris for being a danger to our country should she be elected as president, I got added to a secret domestic terrorist list. That’s a good place to start,” Gabbard stated.
Gabbard then mentioned that beginning with the Russia collusion hoax and through four bogus criminal indictments, Donald Trump was the victim of lawfare.
“And then obviously, you talked about the examples with President Trump that are too many to cite, but that have been made very clear to the American people and those paying attention with any objectivity that this is lawfare,” Gabbard added.
Gabbard’s warning
Donald Trump isn’t the only Kamala Harris political opponent facing a weaponized government.
Gabbard also mentioned the case of former FBI agent Steve Friend.
Friend blew the whistle on how Kamala’s Justice Department used January 6 as an excuse to run counterterrorism operations against everyday Trump supporters.
Gabbard told Ingraham that Justice Department officials responded by doxing Friend and releasing his private medical records.
“Those who are in power, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, are weaponizing and politicizing the Department of Justice and law enforcement agencies, both at the federal level and the state level, to take out their political opponent, the greatest threat to their power, in a way that has never been done before in our country’s history. That’s where [Garland] should start,” Gabbard concluded.
