Vice President Kamala Harris made a mess of the preparations for Hurricane Milton by picking a fight with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis over him not picking up her phone call.

DeSantis explained she had no authority over disaster preparations, and he was too busy working with the Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) and President Joe Biden to play along with her camping photo op.

Kamala tried a mulligan on looking like she was in charge of disaster relief on a FEMA briefing broadcast on live stream.

She posted a series of instructions to the American people to keep safe and check with local officials like she was the President running the show.

“We have been working around the clock to prepare for Hurricane Milton and to ensure that federal, state, and local resources are being coordinated in an efficient and effective way,” Kamala wrote on X.  

“We urge you to take this storm seriously. Please listen to your local officials, and if you are told to evacuate, please do so immediately. Do not wait until it is too late. Already, we have sent more than 1,000 federal personnel to be on the ground in Florida to assist with preparation for this hurricane, and we will continue to scale up those efforts,” Kamala added.

“We will continue to do everything we can to protect the people who are in the path of this storm. Once the storm has passed, we will be there to help folks recover and rebuild as we are continuing to do for the communities in Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina, and across the southeast who have been devastated by Hurricane Helene,” Kamala concluded.

Former Trump administration White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany blew up at Kamala’s claim that she was “working around the clock” to oversee the federal response to the impending disaster in Florida.

McEnany pointed out Kamala was in New York City the day before hopping from disastrous interview to disastrous interview. 

“You have been ‘working around the clock to prepare for Hurricane Milton”’? Yesterday, you spent the day filming The View, Howard Stern, and Colbert. Today, you called into the hurricane briefing virtually. At least come up with a talking point that is believable!” McEnany wrote on X.

And true to form, Kamala found a way to go viral in embarrassing fashion.

She showed again that she was incapable of thinking and speaking for herself when the cameras caught her staffers feeding her questions and she had to put her hands over her mouth to remind them they were live.

Kamala is heard telling an aide who is feeding her questions, that it’s a “live broadcast. She then asks the question she was presumably given.
