Joe Biden’s campaign is taking on water.

It’s bad news for Democrats.

And Joe Biden will be in tears when he sees this damning new poll.

Joe Biden’s central argument about democracy falls flat

President Joe Biden’s number one campaign argument – really the only one he can make – is that democracy in America is on the ballot this fall.

Biden’s false claim is that if former President Donald Trump wins in November then he will establish a dictatorship and there will be no more elections in America.

This lie isn’t finding purchase with the “deciders” in the six states that will decide the 2024 Election.

The Washington Post and the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University surveyed 3,513 registered voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

A “decider” was defined by the Post as “They voted in only one of the past two presidential elections; are between ages 18 and 25; registered to vote since 2022; did not definitely plan to vote for either Biden or Trump this year; or switched their support between 2016 and 2020.”

The poll found most “deciders” agreed with Biden’s basic arguments about Trump.

“Among the Deciders, more than 7 in 10 believe that Trump will not accept the results of the election if he loses, compared with one-third who say the same for Biden. Nearly half, 47 percent, say Trump would try to rule as a dictator if he is elected to another term as president, compared with 15 percent who say Biden would. The poll finds that just over half of Deciders think Trump is guilty of criminal charges of lying about voter fraud in an attempt to overturn the 2020 election, and more say he has been treated fairly rather than unfairly by the criminal justice system,” the Post reported.

Threats to democracy was the number two issue among swing state voters after the economy.

Yet more voters trusted Trump to handle democracy over Biden with 38 percent of deciders picking Trump to best manage threats to democracy compared to 29 percent choosing Biden.

Why Biden’s argument fails

Biden’s claims that Trump will end democracy fell on deaf ears with voters because they lived under Trump as President for years and none of the apocalyptic warnings the Left offered came true.

25-year-old Michigan native Alex Mayer told the Post, “I find it very hard to believe that democracy is going to go away. I don’t think about it very much. I look at it as a foundation that will never change.”

Others realize Biden is the actual threat to democracy.

Biden’s administration pressured Big Tech companies to censor political opponents.

The weaponized Biden Justice Department is trying to jail his election opponent right before the vote.

And Biden’s Justice Department is hunting down pro-life activists and throwing them in jail for praying in front of abortion clinics while giving free reign to pro-Hamas thugs to beat Jews outside of synagogues.

Biden as the defender of democracy just doesn’t ring true to voters because of the facts on the ground.
