But they fell victim to the Left’s awful ways.

The Left completes its conquest of the Boy Scouts with a woke makeover 

The Boy Scouts shaped the lives of boys for generations by instilling values like patriotism, resourcefulness, and curiosity in them. 

But they became another American institution that was conquered by the woke outrage mob. 

The Boy Scouts broke their longstanding tradition of banning homosexual scoutmasters in 2015.  

In 2017, the Boy Scouts began to accept girls in their ranks to promote gender equality. 

The organization that countless men grew up with was becoming something unrecognizable. 

After 114 years of existence as the Boy Scouts, the organization officially changed its name. 

The Boy Scouts are no more.

It’s now called Scouting America to make it more inclusive. 

Boy Scouts founder Robert Baden-Powell explained the mission of the organization. 

“Scouting is a game for boys under the leadership of boys under the direction of a man,” Baden-Powell stated. 

That mission has been thrown into the ashbin of history by the woke outrage mob that took the organization over. 

Scouting America said the name change fits with its new mission for the 21st Century. 

“The change was made to reflect the organization’s ongoing commitment to welcoming every youth in America to experience the benefits of Scouting,” Scouting America stated. “Our new name is representative of the path we want Scouting to chart for the next century.”

Scouting America noted that it has more than 175,000 girls in its ranks now. 

The group is now handing out a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) merit badge to scouts. 

“The focus of the Citizenship in Society Badge is to provide you with information on diversity, equity, inclusion, and ethical leadership. You’ll learn why these qualities are important in society and in Scouting,” Scouting America said. 

Scouting America is also working to promote LGBTQ views in its ranks. 

Franklin Graham laments what happened to the Boy Scouts 

Reverend Franklin Graham – the son of the late evangelist Billy Graham – slammed the Boy Scouts when the name change was announced last year. 

“Talk about losing your way—that’s the [Boy Scouts]. They want to be more “inclusive,” so they’re changing their name. Being woke isn’t the need—staying focused & true to what God calls you to do is what’s important. They should’ve just stuck with what they were founded to be 114 years ago. The Boy Scouts Oath says, ‘I will do my best to do my duty to God…’ It’s no surprise that thousands of parents are choosing other options like [Trail Life USA] which is a great Christ-centered alternative,” Graham wrote on X. 

Trail Life USA started in 2014 as a Christian alternative to the Boy Scouts when homosexual scoutmasters were beginning to be allowed into the ranks. 

Another one of the country’s cherished institutions has fallen under the control of the Left.
