Kamala Harris is now the Democrat Party’s last hope of keeping Donald Trump out of the White House.

Fox News invites Harris and Trump to debate
President and Executive Editor of Fox News Media Jay Wallace and Vice President of Politics Jessica Loker sent a letter to both the Harris and Trump campaigns inviting them to debate on September 17.
“Now that Vice President Kamala Harris is the presumptive Democratic nominee, FOX News Media is amending our proposal for a debate this cycle. Given the race has changed, we’d like to request the opportunity to host a Presidential Debate between former President Trump and VP Harris,” the letter read.
Fox News proposed the debate take place in the critical state of Pennsylvania and that they would be willing to negotiate the rules and format with both campaigns.
“We propose to host the debate in the state of Pennsylvania on Tuesday, September 17, just as early voting is getting underway there and in other key battlegrounds. We are open to discussion on the exact date, format and location – with or without an audience,” the letter continued.
Wallace and Loker also proposed news anchors Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum moderate the event.
“Again, we believe Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, the faces of our political coverage, are the best choices to moderate,” Wallace and Loker wrote.
Trump says the ABC debate is not happening
Former President Donald Trump originally agreed to the two debates proposed by President Joe Biden – one on CNN and one on ABC.
But after Joe Biden dropped out of the race Trump said that agreement was out the window since ABC and its former Clinton loyalist anchor George Stephanopoulos couldn’t be trusted to run a fair debate.
Trump said any further debates should be held on Fox News.
“My debate with Crooked Joe Biden, the Worst President in the history of the United States, was slated to be broadcast on Fake News ABC, the home of George Slopadopolus, sometime in September. Now that Joe has, not surprisingly, has quit the race, I think the Debate, with whomever the Radical Left Democrats choose, should be held on FoxNews, rather than very biased ABC. Thank you! DJT” Trump posted on Truth Social.
Trump then made sure everyone knew the ABC debate wasn’t happening in a subsequent Truth Social post because the network participated in the cover-up of Joe Biden’s cognitive decline.
“ABC Fake News is such a joke, among the absolute WORST in the business. They try to make Crooked Joe into a brave warrior because he didn’t have the “guts” to fight it out — He quit! They then tried to make “Sleepy” look like a great President – he was the WORST, and Lyin’ Kamala into a competent person, which she is not. ABC, the home of George Slopadopolus, is not worthy of holding a Debate, of which I hope there will be many! MAGA2024” Trump wrote.
Democrats have refused to debate on Fox News dating back to 2008.
But the early polls – from CNN and the Economist – show Trump leading Vice President Kamala Harris.
She likely needs the debates more than he does.
