Disney fired Gina Carano from Star Wars

In 2021, Disney fired actress and former MMA fighter Gina Carano from the Star Wars franchise after pressure built on Disney from the woke mob to cancel her for her conservative politics.

She starred in the first three seasons of The Mandalorian as Cara Dune and her character was all set to feature in her own Disney+ series called Rangers of the New Republic.

That all ended when the woke mob finally achieved their goal to silence her.

Carano then sued Disney – in a lawsuit backed by X owner Elon Musk who said he would support anyone fired for expressing their right to free speech on his platform – for violating her First Amendment rights and sex discrimination.

Disney tries to get Carano’s lawsuit thrown out

In a filing to get Carano’s lawsuit tossed, Disney claimed it had every right to sack her “on the grounds that Disney has a constitutional right not to associate its artistic expression with Carano’s speech, such that the First Amendment provides a complete defense to Carano’s claims.”

Disney also smeared her as an anti-Semite by twisting her words on social media to claim she “trivialized the Holocaust” when all she did was warn Americans that the Left was stoking divisions by trying to turn their fellow Americans against one another just because they didn’t agree politically.

“Carano’s social-media usage sunk to its nadir on February 10, 2021. On that day, she reposted an Instagram post from user warriorpriestgympodcast. The post read: ‘Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…even by children. Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?’ Disney’s filing read.

“Disney had enough. The same day Carano grotesquely trivialized the Holocaust as comparable to sharp political disagreements, Lucasfilm announced that ‘Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future. Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.’ A month later, Disney’s former CEO explained that Carano’s views ‘didn’t align with Company values,’ including its ‘values of respect, values of decency, values of integrity, and values of inclusion,’” Disney’s filing added.

Carano disagrees

In her lawsuit, Carano argued her “words were consistently twisted to demonize & dehumanize me as an alt right wing extremist” 

The woke mob tried to cancel her before because she made fun of leftists who put pronouns in their bio saying hers were “beep/boop.”

Carano survived that fracas when series creator Jon Favreau and star Pedro Pascal stuck by her.

Democrats also attacked her for opposing COVID mandates.

But the woke mob finally got their way by lying about her post warning about the Nazis.
