Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark is one of the biggest sensations in sports.

The media pressed Clark for her thoughts on the 2024 Election.

And Caitlin Clark had this surprising response to Taylor Swift endorsing Kamala Harris.

Taylor Swift endorsing Kamala Harris shakes up the 2024 race

Pop star Taylor Swift endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris following her debate with former President Donald Trump.

Swift cited woke ideology as the reason behind her backing of Kamala.

“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate [Tim Walz], who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades,” Swift wrote in an Instagram post announcing the endorsement.

Swift added that everyone should do their own research and register to vote, which she hopes is a prompt for anyone who reads the post to register as a Democrat and vote for Kamala Harris.

“I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it’s much easier to vote early. I’ll link where to register and find early voting dates and info in my story,” Swift concluded.

Swift’s post garnered over 10 million likes, including one from WNBA star Caitlin Clark.

Clark asked about endorsing Kamala Harris

Caitlin Clark is the biggest phenom to ever enter women’s basketball.

She draws sold-out crowds and record TV audiences to watch her bomb three pointers and thread the needle on what should be impossible passes to her teammates.

When the media saw that she liked Swift’s post endorsing Kamala, the press hoped Clark would be the next megastar to jump on the bandwagon.

Clark took the Michael Jordan approach of “Republicans buy sneakers too” and steered clear of endorsing any candidate.

Before the Fever’s game with the Las Vegas Aces, Clark said that all she would do is tell Americans to register to vote and “educate” themselves about the candidates.

“I think, for myself, I have this amazing platform,” Clark told reporters. “So, I think the biggest thing would be is to encourage people to register to vote. I think this is the second time I could vote in an election. That’s the biggest thing I can do with the platform that I have – the same thing Taylor did.”

“And I think, continue to educate yourself on the candidates that we have, polices that they’re supporting. I think that’s the biggest thing you can do. And that’s what I would recommend to every single person that has the opportunity in our country,” Clark added.

In 2016 or 2020, a celebrity like Clark would have felt immense pressure to support Kamala Harris even if she had no strong feelings on the matter.

But 2024 is different.
